Schiavo's Parents Urge Court to Act Soon

Warning that Terri Schiavo is "fading quickly," her parents begged a federal appeals court Tuesday to order the severely brain-damaged woman's feeding tube reinserted while they pursue claims that her rights are being violated.

That was the opportunity the Schindlers were handed by Congress and the President. An opportunity their lawyer threw right into the trash in what must be the saddest instance of gross incompetence in decades. You're right. I read an account of yesterday's hearing last night, and it said the judge had asked the Schindler's lawyer if there were any case law to back up his assertions, and he replied that he couldn't think of any.
I just rolled my eyes.

Nah, nothing so drastic you just confused me. I had one of those moments where I was scratching my head going, "I don't think I'd say that. I don't remember saying that."
