Dr. Cranford was just interviewed on CNN. He actually said Terri's EEG was flat. This even surprised the doctor on CNN. He said that a flat EEG is how you determined if someone was dead for organ donation and anyone could see she wasn't brain dead. She couldn't have a flat EEG.

This needs to go out to Hannity. He's going to have Dr. Cranford on tonight.

Even I know that Terri cannot have a flat EEG like Dr. Cranford said. The point is that Dr. Cranford is making incredulous claims and this is the doctor that Michael used.

Here's some more on Dr. Cranford:
"But the star medical witness for Michael Schiavo, Dr. Ronald Cranford of the University of Minnesota, has repeatedly dismissed calls for MRI testing, and his opinion has prevailed.

Dr. Cranford was the principal medical witness brought in by Schiavo and Felos to support their position that Terri was PVS.

But before that, one needs to know a little about Cranford’s background and perspective: Dr. Ronald Cranford is one of the most outspoken advocates of the “right to die” movement and of physician-assisted suicide in the U.S. today.

In published articles, including a 1997 op-ed in the Minneapolis–St. Paul Star Tribune, he has advocated the starvation of Alzheimer’s patients.

In cases where other doctors don’t see it, Dr. Cranford seems to have a knack for finding PVS. Cranford also diagnosed Robert Wendland as PVS. He did so in spite of the fact that Wendland could pick up specifically colored pegs or blocks and hand them to a therapy assistant on request. He did so in spite of the fact that Wendland could operate and maneuver an ordinary wheelchair with his left hand and foot, and an electric wheelchair with a joystick, of the kind that many disabled persons (most famously Dr. Stephen Hawking) use. Dr. Cranford dismissed these abilities as meaningless. Fortunately for Wendland, the California supreme court was not persuaded by Cranford’s assessment."

Sanjay Gupta was the other doctor on CNN who was very surprised at Dr. Cranford's statement. I don't know which show this is but I think I caught it on tape.

Dr. Cranford will be on Hannity tonight. Please let him know about Dr. Cranford.

Dr. Cranford is not in the studio. The lady on CNN was called Kira, a reddish blonde lady. I replayed the part with Dr. Cranford.

I don't know where it stands now, but Terri's mom this afternoon said that they were only one vote from passing the Florida Senate Bill for Terri. This was the list of most likely Florida Senators that could change their votes.

The hospice had a meeting of the support staff and insisted they all sign some kind of paper condemning President Bush and one who was helping Terri refused. She was summarily fired and walked out the door straight over to the freeper friendly shop where the Schindler family is in the back, to spill the beans. One positive note she pointed out is that staff have been careful with Terri and nothing, no drugs, etc., have been administered yet. To my knowledge she has not gone public yet, but clearly crossed the road to our side.
