Greer was re-elected; don't try to make it sound as if he wasn't. I understand the man who ran against him was NOT a kook. Even if that were so, are you trying to imply that GREER, who has violated Florida Laws, who Ordered murder via starvation and dehydration, is better than a "kook"?

He would have to bring suit, but I suppose someone could send him your posts.

Fortunately, most people are smart enough to not put much stock in your assenine posts!

The gullible ones are those who are willing to trust Hammesfahr.

You must miss Dan Rather very much.

Just for my own FYI, has anyone else concured with his opinions?

Even if he has "issues" from other doctors, it would not change facts. A confirmation from another doctor would moot the credibility debate.

Michael, when the courts decide that Michael Schiavo has sole control over the well-being of Theresa Schindler Schiavo, even though he has entered into a permanent marital arrangement with another woman, I can only see Terri as his slave.

No one is addressing her OWN personal Civil Rights!
That is what was being voted on by Congress last Sunday night.

I fully agree with your estimate of what marriage is and should be. You've made the argument for why MS should have NO say in what happens to Terri.

Facts, he is still legally married to her yet is living with another woman. This "union" has produced two children.

Part of the marriage vows is to love, honor, cherish your spouse in sickness and in health. I see no honor is having children with another woman why your spouse is sick. I do not believe anyone would argue you are cherishing your spouse by having an affair. I believe it is impossible to be in love (sexual love here as between man and woman) with TWO people at one time.

MS has given up his rights as a husband and should allow Terri's family to make decisions for her life. He has moved on with his life, now it's time for him to get our of Terri's.

The gullible ones are those who are willing to trust Hammesfahr.

See my last post about this.

I have a question for you, though, Mary.

Why do you want Terri, an innocent handicapped woman, to die by starvation? What is your reason to support this barbarity?

Get it down to the core. Why do you not find this appalling?

And do not answer, "I don't want her to die." If you don't want her to be rescued, you do want her to die.

I'm a member of a group that holds a conference in Clearwater. We've been going there for years. Because of this we will not be going back. I called the Office of Tourism and told them this.

Scientology HQ is there and casts a black cloud over the area. The chief Scientology lawyer presented an award to Judge Greer

So today we can choose to be like the Pharisees and Sanhedrin, putting the law above man, or we choose to be, well like God would have us be, to do good and save life, not destroy it.

Any law that results in the starvation death of an innocent disabled woman is by definition an immoral law that need not be followed. Those who appeal to legalism in defense of this murder (that's what it is, murder) I liken to the Nazi death-camp guards who were "just following orders."

Internationally recognized, yes. But as an expert? That is far from unanimous.

it really is just the luck of the draw ... Clerks' offices just randomly assign judges to remove any appearance of bias.

At the Supreme Court level, and maybe at the appellate level, there's a process whereby you can judge shop. My memory is that at the SCOTUS, tho, they first have to go to the Justice who is in charge of a given region; then, as I understand it, the "judge shopping" begins.

I would not be holding out much hope now if I were the Schindlers. It's not looking good at all.

I'll ask again. How is one doctor's opinion on a website (any schmuck can put together a website for cheap) proof that Hammesfahr is a quack? The only article on the "Quackbusters" website merely disagrees with the results of a study. BTW, how is "Quackbusters" the definitive source for the validity of a doctor's work? Is it merely because you don't want to believe Hammesfahr?

I understand your passion over Terri's plight, but slavery does not enter into this. There is no involuntary servitude taking place here. Please rethink your comparisons.
#####

How about involuntary confinement, or being treated in the courts as property to be disposed of as the 'owner' wishes. I see very clear comparisons.

Just got back from town and I heard on the radio Attorney Tolbin(?) said he thought this last judge was "pushing back", because he was annoyed at the legislature ordering the review. If this is true, could the review be assigned to another judge, or is the 11th Circuit Court their next step?

Obviously, law is not my expertise. :-)
