Well, this has been a long time coming. I'm sure the gun control crowd will be very happy-- er, I mean, deeply saddened.

That's awful!

Too bad we don't have a death penalty for minors anymore. Get ready for the next round of the ole "kids with guns" debate.

Reported school shooting on Red Lake reservation

Associated Press

RED LAKE, Minn. - The FBI was called to investigate a shooting Monday at Red Lake High School, according to broadcast reports. Unconfirmed reports said as many as five people were injured, including three students.

Both KSTP-TV and WCCO-AM reported the FBI had been called to the scene, and a news conference was planned later. An FBI spokesman didn't immediately return phone calls from The Associated Press, and officials with the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office and the city police department said they had no information.

KSTP-TV reported that a suspect was in custody.

Red Lake, MN is the main village on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. Violence of any kind is an unfortunately all too common occurrence. There were three or four hoax bomb threats at that high school last year, along with untold assaults usually due to gang activity.

Liberals may be right about how the public will react to this, i.e., "Six deaths on the rez? No biggie."

Can't say I'm surprised. It's been a while since the last big school shooting. We can probably expect one every few years. Not just in the US, but elsewhere around the world.
