We don't live so very far from there now... In fact, we fish Red Lake frequently for the big crappies..
Most of the time I don't hear much, but on occasion you do still hear of problems (not as bad as the early 80's though).
I just heard it reported on MSNBC and then they went back to their regular programming.
My grandfather had a cabin on Leech Lake eons ago, wish he would have kept it and willed it to me.
Terri Sheivo ?
Wacko Jacko......
Can't say I'm surprised. It's been a while since the last big school shooting. We can probably expect one every few years. Not just in the US, but elsewhere around the world.
Post #45 WCCO TV News footage.

The Schiavo thing is driving me nuts!

TexKat, thanks for the ping on this very disturbing news. I pray, dear Lord, for minimal casualties and injuries. I pray hard.
Personally, I wish school shootings never made TV. Less copycats and less 'star appeal'.
Dan, you've got a point there. This is just terrible. Absolutely terrible.
They are saying they have the shooter in custody.

Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians. Located in Northern Minnesota, Red Lake is one of only two soverign tribes in the entire country.
Sounds like Columbine and the attempt at an Assault Weapons Ban all over again.
Coincidence?
The Fire Chief(or someone with the Fire Department) said he killed himself on CBS on 6:30 News
Why isn't there anything more on TV about this?
