US House of Rep. in an Extraordinary Sunday night Session [Schiavo] (Bush Signs Schiavo bill)

Posted on 03/20/2005 6:03:40 PM PST by FoxPro

This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).

The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.

This is American history happening before your eyes.

If Bush signs this bill tonight, the facility holding Terri Schiavo will get a Federal visit before daylight, IMO.

They don't vote until 12:01. Some may still be getting into town, others are probably in their offices preparing.

But yes, I would feel more comfortable seeing a crowded chamber.

Can ANYONE explain to me this desperate need of the Hysteric Left to kill this woman? The parents are willing to take on this burden, why are they so desperate to murder this woman?

Just a coincidence that it's Palm Sunday?

No, ordered and ordained by the providential hand.

Have been gone all day, just got home. Have we made any progress in saving her?

Mel Martinez was asked about 'the memo' on a Sun AM Talk Show and she said he had never seen it and did not agree w it.

Starts the process all over again with a different judge?

They didn't seem to have a problem "starting the process over with a different judge" when the policemen who subdued Rodney King were found innocent the first time. "Keep trying until you get the verdict you want" is an old Democrat trick.

Terri Schiavo should be in heaven with God where she will be happy rather than be a vegetable on earth.

Are you willing to go around shooting the so-called vegetables? If not then spare us your imitation of compassion.

Terri is NOT a vegetable and I resent the insult to disabled people.

Remember, she used to eat when fed. The feeding tibe was installed for the convenience of the nursing home staff.

Oh, and when talking about euthanasia (killing) spare us the God-talk. It is revolting.

Well, this will open the door for euthenasia and assisted suicide in florida, something some people have wanted here for a long time.

Did you see Lainie's post "DRUDGE RADIO is to present audio of Terri Schiavo responding to her father on Friday, immediately following the removal of her feeding tube"? He should be playing it in a few minutes. Here's link to the thread with audio links link

"This debate is surreal. It really is unfathomable that there are people arguing on the House floor that an innocent woman should be starved and dehydrated to death."

Just what I felt, unbelievable, nightmarish really.

I was only half-listening a moment ago. Did this last guy use the Elian Gonzalez case as proof that the Federal government chooses not to get involved in family matters? The federal government WAS involved in the Elian matter until the Cuban prisoner riot in Louisiana. All of a sudden, Castro agreed to take back the prisoners for the first time ever, and all of a sudden the Clinton government decides that Elian is now only a state family matter.

I'm sure the left would be in favor of letting her live. But alas, they're all out of ribbon colors, and have no way to express support of her on their lapels.

Miller mentioned Jesus Christ. That is going to inflame the Dems.

I just saw a legion of demons pop out of Barney Frank and two legions manifest out of Wexler... lol!
