This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.
This is American history happening before your eyes.

He has acted in a loathesome manner - stubborn, unco-operative. I am NOT impressed.
To me, it is remarkable that this vote happened in the first place. The fact that the reps turned up at all on Easter break to debate and render a vote goes to show that our democracy is functioning even though this law may be ultimately declared unconstitutional. My Congressman, Robert Menendez (D)13th district in N.J., did not show up for the vote. This is not unusual because Robert Menendez only makes himself available when it concerns Hispano-American issues. Otherwise, to me, he is worthless. I have written e-mails to him on several occasions and have never received written replies. I'm not Hispanic. Anyway, I had also sent e-mails to my 2 senators, Corzine and Lautenberg to support life for Terri. No response from either of them. So much for the moral terpitude of the Democratic party.
Deathocrats, the party of abortion, killing innocents needing health care and higher taxes which also kill.
My rep who lives 40 minutes from DC did not show up to vote either. He is a deathocrat who is mulling the race for Senator in MD in 2006, and would not want to have this vote on his record. Despicable!
There are innumerable despicable characters in this continuing saga..starting with Michael Schiavo. And, as an Italian-American, his name is pronounced Ski-avo regardless of his requested mispronunciation. Once again, he is wrong.
Votes were being manufactured in the back rooms just as they were manufactured in Washington state this election.
The Democratic Party=party of slavery ,party of lies and deceit, party of babykillers and party of high taxes.Also party that wishes to disarm all other people so that evil gov't dictates cannot be risisted.
Democrat Party that believes in a living Constitution that permits,nay requires, killing the innocent!
As Michael Savage said today, the mask of compassion has come off of the Democrats and they are looking like the Party of the Death Culture.
I do think they will have to detach themselves from the death industry because the face they are showing to the American people is disgusting everyone. With more letters and emails to them from good patriots like you, they might see the error of their ways. They can't live in a vacuum that is so out of touch for long.

To answer your question in a nutshell, Scientologists believe that anyone who isnt 100% physically and mentally active and productive has no value.
To them Terri is soul trapped in a shell and should leave it asap.
They dont believe in God, they teach/brainwash that everyone can be their own God if they go through Scientology's system of clearing themselves.
The more advanced people get into COS (Church of Scientology has same initials of Church of Satan btw)
the more people are taught outlandish things.
Such as that Jesus was really a pedophile.
Sick dangerous people in the inner rankings.
Thankfully it costs too much money for the average person to join.
Whta is disturbing is that Clearwater FL, is rapidly growing as mecca for Scientologists.
Half the law bar there are members.
