CLEARWATER, Fl., Feb.11 /Christian Wire Service/ -- In late 1991, 1½ years after the mysterious incident that left Terri Schindler Schiavo severely handicapped, Michael Schiavo became intimately involved with Cindy Shook. The romance continued for approximately one year.

In April 2001, Cindy Shook (married name Brasher) was interviewed by an investigator. Unwilling to come forward because of her immense fear of Schiavo, Shook had to be subpoenaed and was subsequently deposed on May 8, 2001.

In the deposition Cindy Shook described Michael Schiavo:

"I am concerned about retaliation because I have a child - I have children and a husband. I know him, I know what he told me. I said he could be a very mean person."

She spoke of how Michael Schiavo stalked her for close to a year after the breakup:

"I would look up and he would be behind me in traffic. It continued for several months after he didn’t work at the hospital. [I] would change lanes, try to make a turn and he would do the same. He did this about ten times.

"One time he was behind me in traffic he got next to me in a two-lane going the same way, and he changed lanes basically right on top of where I was at, and I had to swerve not to be hit. I had to swerve off the road. Michael ran me off the road. I considered it as stalking, dangerous and guessed potentially life threatening."

Michael Schiavo has told the court that he knows what Terri would want done to her if she were in her present medical situation. He says he knows because Terri told him. Regarding that alleged conversation--Cindy Shook said that Michael Schiavo said:

"How the hell should I know, we never spoke about this, my God I was only 25 years old. How the hell should I know? We were young. We never spoke of this."

On May 6, 1990, two months after the mysterious incident that left Terri Schindler Schiavo severely mentally disabled, Dr. Hamilton, an Orthopedic Surgeon, examined her. A year later Terri was demonstrating painful reactions to physical therapy treatment, so on March 5, 1991, the Mediplex therapist director ordered a bone scan.

This bone scan revealed a healed broken right femur bone and healed bone fractures in Terri Schindler Schiavo’s ribs, pelvis, spine and ankle.

Dr. W. Campbell Walker concluded that Terri has a history of trauma and presumed that the other multiple areas of abnormal activity also relate to previous trauma.

As Terri’s lone guardian, Michael Schiavo has been able to conceal the bone scan and examinations from her parents, brother, and sister for over ten years. To date, Michael Schiavo has not allowed the family to see the results of the May 6 examination, the emergency room records from the day of the incident, nor any of the accompanying x-rays.

Michael Schiavo's inability to be forthright over the bone scan brings into question his lone description of Terri's activity at the time of the incident. His choice to have his wife terminated rather than rehabilitated may not be in pursuit of her interests, but to continue to conceal the level of physical violence he displayed toward Terri.

Could it be that he is tired of court by now? You could be right. He could be satan on earth. I disagree. If you look back at the deposition testimony, Terri's family said that if she stayed in this condition and got gangrene, they would want her arms and legs chopped off, and continued on.

Who is being radical here? My wife and I made an appointment to have living wills made in 2 weeks. That is the whole tragedy of this. Even if you want the plugs to remain in place, you should get written documentation that says so. This whole case rests upon the fact that nothing was written. I would not want to be in the state Terri is in for 15 years. Who here honestly would? That is my big question. Who here would say, keep at this for 15 years, and then keep going some more? Seriously. Most of the Michael is a butcher crowd wouldn't want to keep the tubes in themselves at this point. I worked with very special children for 8 years. I am no euthanasist. If Terri Schiavo said that she wanted to be kept alive no matter what, and there was proof of it, I would say all the power to her. But without that proof, what we have now is a tragedy. There also is my question of the symbolism of this. There are many people in the same situation. Why aren't they being fought for with such vehemence? Baby Sun just died in Texas, over the objection of his guardian. Not much of a peep here. Terri Schiavo is being used as a political football and it disgusts me.

You might want to get that important information to the insurance company that paid off to Schaivo so they can get their money back -- because that is EXACTLY what the jury found in that case.

In 1990 the Schindlers took Terri home (while Michael was living with them, btw) but found it overwhelming and returned her to Rehab. I haven't seen anything about financially demanding.

That's not necessarily true. michael schiavo WON'T allow the tests to determine if that's actually the case.

Well in this case Michael Schiavo saying that Terri would not want to be artifically be kept alive under oath in testimony and seen as credible was upheld all the way up to the USSC.

I'm not sure what you think this means. To me, "credible" witnesses are "those that are not complete, raving loons." No court would convict me of murder if all there were were a "credible" witness claiming I had contracted a killing. Credible is a low threshold and is in no way definitive.
