Per Fox News...
If Terri was a lesbian and her condition was due to AIDS, your side would be screaming for Michael's head.
They've put out there he assaulted her when there is absolutely no evidence to support it.
Like there is no evidence to support Michael's claims that his wife said she would never want to live like that? Where is that evidence? Where?
You're welcome
The whole Troll Alert stuff is very annoying and it's an abuse
PLUS, when there is a REAL troll .. no one will pay attention because of previous bogus alerts
Kind of like the story ... The boy who cried wolf
FNC is now saying the reason MS kicked the family out MIGHT be because her brought in a tape recorder last night in an attempt to get her voice on tape
WHAT IS MS AFRAID OF???
I'm not surprised by anything. If they took the "evil" Michael out of it than they'd have to come to grips that perhaps this woman really did express her wishes and that side just can't handle that. I just don't see what's so hard to explain. He knew her wishes going in. For the first four to five years he thought she could be cured. But now she's in a PVS and NOBODY IN HISTORY HAS EVERY RECOVERED FROM A PVS. When he finally accepts that is her condition, then and only then does he say she wouldn't want to live in that condition. It makes perfect sense to me. He did everything he could. And then it was time to abide by her wishes. What part of that don't people understand. They may disagree, but why can't they understand that maybe, just maybe, that could be the case.
Well Michael sees it that he just trying to honor her request.
So?
Not your business, mine, schindlers, congress' or anyone elses...matter of fact.
Maybe it's because he has no case that the public would feel any sympathy with. A man who has two kids with another woman - - kids who will remain illegitimate, not able to take his name, unless he divorced Terri or Terri dies - - can hardly be seen, by anyone with room-temperature IQ, as a reliable guardian who can only be motivated by Terri's best interests.
You ought to read Ann Coulters column on this creep. But then, you used the phrase "right wing extremists," so maybe she's too conservative for you
I must say I'm a little surprised with your post, because yesterday you said that where there's not clarity on a patient's intent, the presumption should be for NOT withdrawing food and water (and in fact this IS the presumption in Florida law). One doesn't have to be right-wing extremist to agree with that statement - and to be concerned about what's going on with Terri, precisely BECAUSE there isn't clear and convincing evidence of her intent. Judge Greer made a ruling based on flimsy evidence, and that was judicial incompetence. They guy is a former county supervisor who ran for a local judge post; he isn't some Brandeis or Holmes, and we should stop treating him as if it has to be assumed that he has some exalted level of intelligence and legal insight.
Well medically she cannot take food or water or she would choke to death.
Yes. And its been investigated and proven untrue.
Also, the sainted Mr. Schindler testified that he was angry he did not receive any money.
Videos are not allowed and haven't been for 5 yrs.
They are shown on the airwaves, making a spectacle out of Terri.
Your are correct, there is no "proof" .. but there are suggestions that it could have happen .. which is why they requested the court to investigate it
I believe Judge Geer denied the request
I stated what my preference would be in this case, but I think the right thing is to let her go and release her spirit and her soul from the prison which is her body.
Michael cannot show any LEGAL evidence via notarized documents or anything else that proves what he says
Oh yes. I forgot that tidbit.
My dad said last night that if my husband sued for malpractice because something happened to me, he knew he wasn't entitled to anything and didn't understand the Schindler's position that they wanted $$ from that lawsuit.
Since they couldn't care for Terry in 1990 and found it "overwhelming" and returned her to rehab, there's no reason to think that 15 years later and older they are able to do so now. But perhaps they are intrested in a lawsuit of their own.
Fox is reporting they're allowed in again. We'll see.
"Like there is no evidence to support Michael's claims that his wife said she would never want to live like that? Where is that evidence? Where?"
Do you relate everything, every desire, to your spouse and then repeat to a member of your family?
