Per Fox News...
and, sorry to bring this up, but, (in California and i suspect perhaps Florida), if the spouse that dies has been under doctor's care for a potentially life threatening disease or injury, no autopsy is possible unless the surviving spouse requests it.
my recollection is that Michael has already indicated that he will have her creamated when she expires.
end
If that's true, why would they keep nourishment by tube?
Oh, I agree. But as I just responded to another poster, there's a post on FR about some nurse of Terri's who claims that Terri can eat normally. I don't believe it and if it's true, I'd go feed her myself as well.
Why?
Because he disagrees with the majority on this thread?
This still is the Land of Free.
Are you sure about that? She was being spoon-fed until it was decided that the tube would be more efficient and better able to ensure complete nutrition.
If they succeed, they will hasten her death. The reason she has a tube is because she is incapable of swallowing food or water. It would enter her lungs and she would die of aspiration pneumonia.
Another freeper just posted that someone said it was thought the Schiavo family was visiting Terri and the two families no longer visit at the same time.
Why do you call them Nutcases? How do YOU know what their intentions were? Yes, they were arrested for trying to do what they did but I think they KNEW they would not get far and it was their way of bringing more attention to the situation. They were only trying to support and help Terri. I commend them for it and I do not think they are nutcases. I think they are caring, loving individuals and we certainly need more of them.
The facts of this case are terribly sad, but they are not hard to understand. There's really nothing to be confused about, and as best I can tell, nothing's been overlooked by anyone. Terri's situation has arguably received more judicial attention, more medical attention, more executive attention, and more "due process," than any other guardianship case in history. Terri's family has had the benefit of excellent legal representation as well as the Governor's own top-notch attorneys, all of whom have scoured the case for ways to assist the effort to keep Terri's feeding tube in place.
You know how would you feel if your inlaws went all out to make you a monster. They've put out there he assaulted her when there is absolutely no evidence to support it.
You're right and that is evil in itself.
I didn't even bother with it. But you know how many people want to believe it. The same people who want to believe Michael strangled her.
Please stop with the troll alert stuff
It doesn't help
Just because someone disagree with us .. it doesn't make them a troll
Well my source for the nourishment by tube comes from some report issued by the state of Florida. What is yours?
Who is her guardian? It is my understanding that Michael as her husband has legal say and that Judge Greer is acting as her guardian.
It's not true. I'm just telling you about one of the many urban legends surrounding this case. And it's people who believe that stuff who are trying to break into her room to feed her.
I am NOT a "sick puppy." I am a REALIST & don't live in a dream world.
I won't hit that abuse button on ya this time.
Why is their visit more important than TERRI'S FAMILY?! The Schiavos want her DEAD, her family wants her ALIVE. I think I know which family I would want to visit me.
Are they going just to make sure she is DYING on time so Michael can get on with his NEW LIFE?
Well I turn that on you...how on Earth do you know what Michael Schiavo's true intentions were/are? How come you can speculate, but the Schindlers must not be?
Who's the family here? You keep posting as if we aren't talking about a father, mother, sister and brother--none of these are "steps"--they are all close blood relatives.
Is Michael family? He's supposedly a "husband" who goes around introducing a concubine as his "fiance". Why does Amber Frey not get to be a "fiance"? They called her "mistress."
The derision I hear toward the Schindlers (all FOUR of them) just crosses my eyes. They share many years and blood ties.
It's been very interesting to see the battle lines drawn, those wanting the family to have their chance to try to help a daughter, sister...and the man who has abandoned her, yet finds her continued existence inconvenient.
There's more to conservatism than taxes.
