Angered by the lastest political developments in Washington, Michael Schiavo said Saturday that it isn't just the governor who should visit his wife to learn about the case.
'Come down, President Bush,' Schiavo said in a telephone interview. 'Come talk to me. Meet my wife. Talk to my wife and see if you get an answer. Ask her to lift her arm to shake your hand. She wont do it.'
She won't, Shiavo said, because she can't.
He made a similar offer last week to Florida Governor Jeb Bush saying lawmakers interfering in his wife's life know nothing about the case.
So far, Governor Bush has not responded to the offer. President George W, Bush has said he will sign any federal legislation that will keep Terri Schiavo alive.
Michael Schiavo also said that US Congressional House Majority Leader Tom Delay is a 'little slithering snake' pandering for votes.
'To make comments that Terri would want to live, how do they know?' Schiavo said of the members of Congress who want to keep Terri alive.
'Terri died 15 years ago,' referring to the collapse and cardiac arrest that doctors say virtually destroyed her brain. It's time for her to be with the lord like she wanted to be.'

(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
The MSM slipped up and showed about a 5 second video clip of Terri last night. I saw an awake woman intently following whoever she was talking to with her eyes. She was sitting up (undoubtedly propped up) and looked like she was smiling. What I saw on the news is in no way whatsoever a "brain dead" woman.
Neither can babies and paralyzed people you moron but we don't kill them. I wish President Bush would take him up on that offer.
His concern for her spiritual well-being it truly moving. /Sarcasm Off
Is there much more to the article? I'd like to read the rest but the links don't work.
That last phrase of Michael's quote in the article sounds like something that Scott Peterson might say.
Which wife is he talking about? The one he's taken or the one he married? Should the President meet his bastard children too?
So, that's the standard? She can't shake hands and say "hello!" so she should die?
Does anyone else think he is starting to lose it or to really begin to panic?
Is this his equivalent of a "bring it on?"
This afternoon's activities should be interesting.
I see sociopathic tendencies with this guy. Sort of like Scott Peterson winning the spousal death lottery rather than having to do the dirty work himself.
Can someone please knock MS on the head hard enough to knock him unconscious, so we can ask him to lift his arms, note for the record that he didn't respond, and then have have him 'terminated'.
"Funny, Michael didn't think she was dead before he got that settlement check."
Spot on!
(if they get an objection to not pass it today from a Florida Democrat, as promised)
So the Senate will aprove tomorrow, do they have to wait until 10AM Eastern or can they do it earlier?
Still don't understand why Florida courts give him all the rights -- you would think her blood relatives who willing to care for her would have some kind of legal standing.
If people would put themselves in the shoes of her parents, then maybe they would see why it is so important that Terri be allowed to live and to have rehab to see how far she can recover. A lot has happened in the last 15 years and miracles do happen. She should be given that chance!
Who knew when you got married, that your spouse has total control of everything about you including your right to life. This is scarey if you think about it -- spouse has total control of whether you live or not and in this case that spouse is living with someone else and has two kids by that person. Don't know about anyone else, but when the guy shacked up with this woman and had two kids seems to me he should have been forced by the Courts to give up legal guardianship.
Is this his (and the "die with dignity" Left's) Final Solution??
Hey Michael, I am CONFIDENT that Terri COULD shake President's hand if YOU would have had given her the therapy she needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's see-- no therapy for years, and she can't shake hands. We should be surprised she can't do this?
