The opening salvo in the Hillary Clinton versus John Kerry 2008 presidential campaign was fired on Thursday. One time Kerry supporter Ann Lewis is now director of communications for Hillary Clinton's political action committee, and she was the marksman (or would that be woman) that went after John Kerry.
The Kerry campaign had "a different message every two or three weeks," Lewis told the Forward, a weekly New York City-based newspaper aimed at a Jewish audience.
Lewis is quoted as saying the Kerry campaign "kept trying to rationally convince, to put a presidency together, line by line, plan by plan." She said people "don't vote for plans, they vote for presidents."
John Kerry has a knife in his back and The Associated Press quizzed Ann Lewis on her sudden turn away from Mr. Kerry. "I worked very hard for John Kerry's election," Lewis told the AP, saying she was "deeply sorry he lost."
Sure.
This is a patented move by the Clinton's, and expect to see it repeatedly as the years move towards 2008. They float a quick trial balloon through a spokesperson to see how their opponent will react, then deny any friction.
The strategy never changes with team Clinton.
Dang. Mrs. Heinz should be selecting her widow's outfit right about now.
LOL!
""Barney Franks sister" "Barney Frank's older brother rather.""
No, Barney Frank's her sister. I know, I know, it's tough to keep it all straight.
You are being WAY too kind
It's more like, think Godfather crime family
"It's not personal, it's strictly business" ...
The Clinton family motto
"If you see Bill and Hill, think Bonnie & Clyde."
The Rosenburgs pop into my mind.
Either way, I cannot see Bill & Hil being mowed down by federal agents while sitting in the electric chairs.
Hillary is much more consistant.
She only changes positions every 4-6 years, depending on the election cycle.
Lets you and him fight.
Now I have one use for the clinton gang, but kerrey is doing to wonder just what hit him when this is done.
"Woodruff is the wife of CNNs al Hunt. Barney Frank is the brother of former White House Communications Director Ann Lewis. Leftist journalist Steve Roberts is the first cousin of Barney and Ann, whose wife is "Cokie" Roberts. Greta van Sustern is married to lawyer John Coal who does business with Hugh Rodham, Hillarys brother. Certainly Hillary is looking forward to being the savior of Social Security when she is elected, so she cant have Bush pre-empting her on this issue. So Lewis replied, I'm going to tell you what, he's wrong. There is no crisis. I repeat, the people who are telling us it's a crisis now are the people who were telling us there were weapons of mass destruction."
There were WMDs and President Bush is not the one selling the SS crisis - he clearly has stated that SS in present form must be changed if future retires expect anything, so give them a CHOICE like all federal workers have now.
Snort. Coffee. Nose. Ow. Funny!
The question is: Does ANYBODY in the Democrat Party have the stones to slap back at the Clintons?
The question is: Does ANYBODY in the Democrat Party have the stones to slap back at the Clintons?
Once the Clinton machine gets into gear, except for Kerry, I doubt it. Kerry thinks he lost the election by only 60,000 votes and is now delusional. But it will be fun to watch Kerry try to fight the Clintons.
It will be fun to watch Theresa and hear some more wonderful words of wisdom fall from her lips. LOL! BTW Is Jerome Corsi of the Swift Boat Vets campaign and Unfit for Command still planning a Senate run against Kerry? That will be fun to watch.
What about a Hillary-Kerry ticket in 2008? Will Hillary and Teresa repeat the scene we saw in 1992 on stage between Hillary and Tipper? They looked to be more than just wives of runningmates, if you remember.
Re Ann Lewis: Everytime she opens her mouth I think of Pipino the mouse on the old Ed Sullivan shows.
