' The newspaper that was most outraged over photos of Iraqi terrorist suspects being mistreated by U.S. soldiers at Abu Ghraib prison said Sunday that the two week-long starvation-execution of Terri Schiavo will cause her "little discomfort." '
[Carl Limbaucher dissecting a NYT piece]
There is enough information here to keep a good reporter busy for quite some time. All you have to do is read the posts, click on the links and start reading.
By the time you're done, you'll have a crystal clear picture of why Terri's family and everyone else are desperately trying to stop this travesty from happening.
But, I know it's just wishful thinking and way too much to ask the people who call themselves "journalist's" to research this matter fully and report accurately.
I know I'll hear on the news tonight that Terri is "on Machines" or her case is about "pulling the plug", or she's "in a coma, or brain dead" (none of these statements are true).
The media has been reporting, including Fox news, that Mike S says his wife told him, she wouldn't want to live on artificial means and he's carrying out her wishes, but that her parents are fighting to keep her alive. What's wrong with that statement?
While Terri's parents are fighting to keep her alive, the main point is that they are disputing that Terri ever made that statement to him. They have compelling evidence that Terri would not have made a statement like that. But judge Greer threw out the testimony. Problem is, he (Greer) was in error when he threw out the testimony But, as usual he refused to do anything to correct his error.
Husband's testimony to get money for Terri's therapy-makes no mention of Terri's "supposed" death wish. ( and his miraculous, return of this "memory" 7 years after the "collapse")
Terri parents version of events
Terri wanted divorce from husband before her "collapse"
"One question keeps bothering me Michael"
They keep saying Terri can't speak ,is PVS What's this?
It's awful. How can we do this?
I would like to ask anyone reading this post to read the next 3 posts in the order I put them in here please.
There are videos here "Terri Schiavo's NOT vegetative thread"
Watch them . Turn the audio up, listen. Especially watch the first one -Terri and her mom, and watch "how's your cold?" (the last one)
When you've finished the video's , recall Michael's statements on Nightline about Terri not feeling anything because she's brain dead and recall his description of what a painless death it is to die of starvation, dehydration. Then go
Now tell me in the name of God, in the name of decency, in the name of mercy, -How can you justify what Michael Schiavo and the Florida legal system are doing to a helpless woman? And her mother cries out for mercy, but she is ignored?
I am so fed up with stupid answers by ignorant people, who say things such as "no 24 year old would want to live that way", or "I wouldn't want to live that way" (it's not about you). Make whatever excuse you want, but
NO ONE,
AND I MEAN NO ONE,
WOULD WANT TO DIE THIS WAY!!!!!!!
Are you listening Florida legislature, US Congress, Supreme Court?
I think the problem here is that this is so hideous and evil, that people can't grasp it mentally. I have a hard time with it too. That an otherwise healthy disabled woman has been sentenced by one judge to endure an at very least several days long, grueling, torturous execution.
The man who kidnapped and murdered the little girl Jessica Lunsford will not have to face such a death (thought he deserves it and worse) his rights are protected. Terri's are not. Judge Greer refused to hear anything from her side. The hearing on weather Michael is fit to be her guardian has been scheduled for any time after she's dead. Sick.
Sorry, for the double post..I didn't do it
Great idea to make a reference thread, by the way. Now if the media would just get a clue and at least try to get their facts straight.
Yes I think it is too. I just hope we pass it and err on the side of life. That sure looks like a sign on the window.
>"The guardian has no discretion," said Felos. "It is not the guardian's decision to do this. It must be done because it is the order of this court."<
If that doesn't make the blood run cold, I give up.

Guess what wallpaper is on my desktop now?
[and at least you didn't put the wrong web address into a link. Some idiot named Arthur did that earlier on this thread.]
FReegards....
Michael is always blaming HIS PROBLEMS on the religious right or pro lifers or you know people like us.
It's all about HIM, Michael Schiavo, you see. We're out to GET HIM. Get it?
He obviously couldn't give a rat's patoot about Terri. This is all about him.
He's a sociopath - no better than Scott Peterson and OJ Simpson. No better at all.
Sure you did it..lol..you wanted us to see that beautiful picture twice.
Pretty good for a picture people say was caused by the sprinklers hitting the glass. Looks more like a message from GOD than an accident
Previous link pulled. Now it's here.

"...Aaarghh!!! Tell the truth! Stop saying this is about her right to die. Watch closely at the words coming out of this keyboard: T-E-L-L T-H-E T-R-U-T-H..."
One of the most interesting things about this case is her husband, who is alledgely trained to administer CPR did not.
How amazing.
The HOLY MOTHER MARY IS BEAUTIFUL!
I know about Fatima
Yeah. If true, he broke his wedding vow, not to mention the scriptural coals we could heap on him over that. Strange as it sounds, Congress should check into that.
