Terri's husband isn't the enemy, guardian says
Orlando Sentinel ^ | February 25, 2005 | Mike Thomas

Wolfson's report is based on court files, depositions, medical records and interviews with everyone involved.

That said, I begin with the most explosive allegation:

Did Michael try to kill Terri?

Wolfson laughs. "No!"

-----

Wolfson's report states that in the four years after her collapse, Michael "had insistently held to the premise that Theresa could recover and the evidence is incontrovertible that he gave his heart and soul to her treatment and care . . . In late autumn of 1990, following months of therapy and testing and formal diagnoses of persistent vegetative state with no evidence of improvement, Michael took Theresa to California, where she received an experimental thalamic stimulator implant in her brain. Michael remained in California caring for Theresa during a period of several months."

Says Wolfson now: "Michael was adoring of her. One nursing home complained he was hostile and abusive of the staff in championing her care. She was immaculately kept. In 13 years, she never had one bedsore."

who says the comments of her friends is consistent with kids Terri's age.

We need to be clear here. Joan is Joan Schiavo and Michael Schiavos sister in law not Terri's best friend.

And Terri was not 11 or 12 when she made statements that Karen Anne Quinlan shouldn't be removed from a ventilator. Judge Greer assumed that Quinlan died in the '70s when in fact she died in '86 which would make Terri a legal adult. The Judge ruled that his mistake made no difference to the testimony.

Greer Denies motion for relief based on his error (Guardianship case - March 8, 2005)

And you believe every word that the attorney Felos speaks? He offered no proof that anyone every offered Michael $10 million. Remember the guy who offered Paula Jones money? That was in all the papers and was a fraud. Even the $ 1 million offer is dubious with Allred as his attorney? Why would anybody who wanted to save Terri's life hire her except for a PR stunt? She is hardly the first lawyer who would come to the mind of a pro-life person? And why would Allred want to be involved in anything to do with a pro-life case?

We put animals out of their misery.

Not by starvation! That would put you in jail. You I am sure are not that black hearted, but care for your animals. Unlike the death Terri will recieve.

I don't know how to read that. Dr. Hammesfarh said she had 75% of her brain yet. He showed this scan on a TV interview. Point is I guess is to investigate all of this stuff and I think that is the direction our congress wants to proceed.

You don't want to see white anything in your CAT scan.

"I know that last rites were administered yesterday; I don't think last rites always involve a host as so often patients are not in any condition to receive the host."

You are correct. Last rites is the annoinment of oil to various body parts (making the sign of the cross.)

People who are dying may request a last communion which may have lead the uniformed to believe that it was required to receive last rites.

I've looked it up and provided a link for those who would like to enlighten themselves rather than get exorcized over mis-information.

Her brain looks awful. I know. I have had an MRI myself, and learned something about this strange art. The relevance of this however is another matter.

"We are a nation gone mad when we equate food with "life support".

Some might say we've gone equally mad by equating a vegetable to a human?

Does that mean all of that area in the middle is brain? I heard there wasn't any at all, like most people.

Assuming this is Terri's brain, could it be construed that 75% of it is still there?

LOL...I'm not sure this cat scan means anything to lay people, although I did stay in a Holiday Inn once..

On tv they had a neurologist showing this scan with a normal scan. There with the two scan side, by side it was clear to my untrained eyes, that there was massive difference in appearance. But what did that mean?

The neurologist suggested that the damage was severe, extensive and unrecoverable.

"Michael hasn't make any money from this and there's no money to speak of left."

Average hosp cost per day is about $420 a day.

The money he received from the suit ran out more than 10 years ago at that rate....and that's being conservative.

Way beyond my pay grade, but it is very abnormal. Someone said the black middle is fluid. I don't know about that. The brain of someone with severe MS affecting the brain looks much more normal than this brain.

She's had every type of test known to man, a dozen times over.

Once more. If you have any kind of proof, please show it. Otherwise, I must assume you are a raving lunatic. Sorry, but your statement above is literally impossible, as you would be DEAD if they gave you every test known to man.

That dark area shaped like a butterfly is fluid build up. Everything around that area shaped like a dark butterfly is the brain.

Once we get some honest proceedings, we will know more if she can get through the weekend.
