A mentally disabled woman whose court ordered starvation-execution began Friday attempted to contradict her estranged husband's claim that she wants to die hours before her feeding tube was disconnected, an eyewitness is claiming.
Barbara Weller, an attorney for Terri Schiavo's parents, told reporters Friday afternoon that during her visit earlier in the day she told Ms. Schiavo:
"Terri, if you would just say, 'I want to live,' - all of this will be over."
According to pro-life activist Randall Terry, who recounted the scene to radio host Sean Hannity, Schiavo tried desperately to repeat Weller's words.
"'I waaaaannt . . .' Schiavo allegedly said, in a prolonged yell that had police stationed nearby running into her hospice room.
"She just started yelling, 'I waaaannt, I waaaannt,'" Terry said, according to Weller's account.
At that point police ejected Weller, he said.
PINELLAS PARK, Fla. Diane Meyer can recall only one time her best friend Terri Schiavo really was angry with her. It was 1981, and it haunts her still.
The recent high-school graduates had seen a television movie about Karen Ann Quinlan, who had been in a coma since collapsing six years earlier and was the subject of a bitter court battle over her parents' decision to take her off a respirator. Meyer told a cruel joke about Quinlan, and it set Schiavo off.
"She went down my throat about this joke, that it was inappropriate," Meyer said. She remembers Terri wondering how the doctors and lawyers possibly could know what Quinlan was feeling or what she would want.
"Where there's life," Meyer recalls Schiavo saying, "there's hope."

I could see that in my mind when I went to bed...it's like her heart is bleeding.
It's important that we let our legislatures know TODAY that we are expecting them to get their act together and work out their differences between the House and the Senate and pass into Law immediately the Bill that will not only save Terri but will also stop this horrendous tide of euthanasia that is going to sweep our country if they don't stop their partisan monkeying around and bowing to this arrogant Judge Greer and all his cronies.
Use this link to contact your Senators and Representatives; it's VERY easy to do:

And once you send it to them, use the form to send that page too everyone you can think of that will also contact their legislatures.
THEN write to President Bush at president@whitehouse.gov and urge him to call an emergency session of Congress this weekend to get this Bill voted on and passed into Law.
And MOST OF ALL, let's pray fervently like we've never prayed before.
There's way too much at stake here to sit on our hands and just let this all happen.
On Larry King Live, he was accuse of not allowing Terri to get a gynecological exam in the last ten years. Michael rather indelicately described the difficulties, and talked about some circumstances were an exam would be given despite the difficulties, but never did say whether an exam had been performed in the last ten years.
Please view my favorite video of Terri. She laughs when her dad reminds her of when she used to tease her mother, and roll her eye (Terri had "lazy eye").

Keep in mind when Terri makes sounds, she is attempting to talk, but needs therapy in order to talk. Even without therapy, Terri can say a few words. Sadly, Michael won't allow her to have ANY kind of therapy.
Well she has a reason to lie as well. I dont like this but I think many of you people are being manipulated and will believe anything.

You are wrong.
Where did you find your definition?
In 1994 a Multi-Society Task Force made up of representatives of the American Academy of Neurology, the Child Neurology Society, the American Neurological Association, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Academy of Pediatrics produced a Consensus Statement on the Medical Aspects of the Persistent Vegetative State (PVS). * The vegetative state can be diagnosed according to the following criteria; (1) no evidence of awareness of self or environment and an inability to interact with others; (2) no evidence of sustained, reproducible, purposeful, or voluntary behavioural responses to visual, auditory, tactile, or noxious stimuli; (3) no evidence of language comprehension or expression; (4) intermittent wakefulness manifested by the presence of sleep-wake cycles; (5) sufficiently preserved hypothalamic and brain-stem autonomic function to permit survival with medical and nursing care; (6) bowel and bladder incontinence; and (7) variably preserved cranial-nerve reflexes (pupillary, oculophalic, corneal, vestibulo-ocular, and gag) and spinal reflexes..... A wakeful unconscious state that lasts longer than a few weeks is referred to as a persistent vegetative state.
(THE PERMANENT VEGETATIVE STATE; ETHICAL CRUX, MEDICAL FICTION?)
Why doesn't he just give custodial rights to her parents?
Because if people could see her attempting to speak, enough people might realize Michael was lying about her condition that Michael would no longer be able to carry out her wishes.
An honest examination of Terri would likely reveal that not only is she not PVS, but that there is no plausible way Michael could have believed her to be so. Michael's actions certainly make abundantly clear that he knows his wife is not PVS. Trying to get someone falsely declared PVS so they can be starved to death would almost certainly be attempted murder so foul as to mandate maximum sentencing.
I finally saw a small tape of Terri that must have been taken early in her disability. She was very alert, smiling, cognizant and Michael Schiavo was by her side.
It is very evident that something terrible happened to her following that period. Over the last 10 years it would seem that Terri was subjected to neglect and withholding of therapy, treatment and minimum care.
Michael Schiavo began by suing to get funds for 26 year-old Terri's future care (life expectancy probably 40+ years). Once that was accomplished, her condition deteriorated due to lack of therapies. She was placed in a hospice where the life expectancy is 6 months. She would not have received treatment that is usually afforded for cure and recovery.
After 7 years, the Michael Schiavo supporters came up with the absurd story of remembering Terri told them she would not like to live with a feeding tube. Yeah right!
That Michael Schiavo had acquired another "wife" and 2 children in the interim has nothing to do with his desire to starve Terri to death. Yeah right!
Come, on. Take a wild guess. Get really down and dirty here.
That's ok. That's what I think about those like you. Go back to your regularly scheduled tv show. In Germany they didn't see utilitarianism coming either.
There is a big sign stating this in front of Auschwitz.
Exactly. This husband is going to become the poster boy for the right to die movement, believe me! The ACLU and other like-minded groups have their fingerprints all over this.
