A mentally disabled woman whose court ordered starvation-execution began Friday attempted to contradict her estranged husband's claim that she wants to die hours before her feeding tube was disconnected, an eyewitness is claiming.
Barbara Weller, an attorney for Terri Schiavo's parents, told reporters Friday afternoon that during her visit earlier in the day she told Ms. Schiavo:
"Terri, if you would just say, 'I want to live,' - all of this will be over."
According to pro-life activist Randall Terry, who recounted the scene to radio host Sean Hannity, Schiavo tried desperately to repeat Weller's words.
"'I waaaaannt . . .' Schiavo allegedly said, in a prolonged yell that had police stationed nearby running into her hospice room.
"She just started yelling, 'I waaaannt, I waaaannt,'" Terry said, according to Weller's account.
At that point police ejected Weller, he said.
She must be examined again and the results made public. This must be done in the full light! We all deserve it!
As leaders of their party, with control over the executive and legislative branches in Fla and the U.S., they need to act on principle to stop this moral/judicial insanity in their state and nation.
As I said before, if Terry Schiavo were a Bush daughter she would not be in the process of being killed right now. Where there's a will, there's a way.
"Schiavo Must Die": Judge Fails
Clear and Convincing Standard
Go the The Empire Journal.com for entire story.
I dont want anyone feeding that girl
.the rule of law is that this girl must die.
(The above is a quote from Judge Greer when Terri's sister and brother tried to have Terri fed when they removed her feeding tube, in the past.)
P.S. A nurse testified to feeding Terri pudding and jello, so she CAN swallow. The feeding tube is just an excuse to kill her, and make her a precedent for the right-to-die movement. Oooops, my mistake, right-to-KILL movement. Terri does not want to die.
Nice Christian folks they are.(sarcasm)
It's time to take a page out of the Clinton Handbook of Homeland Fun. Remember Elien Gonzolez? Well, why don't we just send in some Federal Marshalls, and take her to Washington...because technically didn't the House supena her? I think so.
I'd expect that most of these "threats" are on the order of "I hope Greer dies." Not "I'm going to kill Greer." The first is constitutionally protected expression. The second will land a person in deep legal doodoo.
You're Howlin at the moon
Wow, that's original.
well aroo to you too
You can say crap like this repeatedly, but it will not make it true.
She can't swallow food. The parents thought she could early on, and brought her home, only to return her to the care of professionals.
The court looked into this no less than three times.
It really does not matter. You will believe the lie before you ever believe the truth. The truth is not as rosy.
Need to change the name of this forum to "pawns are us".
A principled politician would know enough to stay the hell out of the equation. What Delay pulled today was an embarassment. His acts of grandstanding have given the Democrats the ammo they need to further their wacko agenda. I've seen some screwups in politics, but todays facade on the Hill is the biggest one to date.
As an elected GOP precinct chair, I'm embarrassed for Hastert and DeLay...this is a sad time. I pray that God's will and Terri's will be done, and that she be allowed to go to Heaven if that is her choice.
The court refused to let Terri be given swallowing therapy. Be careful what you bow down to, it will come after you someday.
Yeah that Cranford is something else.
CAN A "RIGHT TO DIE" BE TURNED INTO A FORCED FATE?
Robert Wendland should die so that his family can "be allowed to live their lives," Dr. Ronald Cranford, a Minnesota neurologist and bioethicist, testified recently in the Stockton courtroom of Superior Court Judge Bob McNatt. The chosen method of death? Intentional dehydration and starvation.
What has Wendland, 45, done to deserve such a fate? He went into a coma in September 1993 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Sixteen months later, he awakened from the coma, paralyzed on one side and unable to walk, talk or swallow well enough to eat. He is physically and cognitively disabled and dependent on others for his care. He is not terminally ill. He is not hooked up to machines. He does require a feeding tube to sustain his life.
Yes, if it is not condemned. I have seen the same right here on this forum for months!
It is the same as blaming all Muslims for their tacit support of terrorism.
Same thing.....different uniforms.IMO
People who think before they act, usually don't have these problems.
I agree it's shame that it's come to this emergency maneuvering once again, but DeLay and Hastert have no choice now. What Judge Greer is doing in ordering this woman killed ASAP is much worse an affront to civil society
I'm logging off of FR and the cable news outlets for the night. There's only so much bad news one can take in a day and right now I am heartbroken and thoroughly disgusted.
Same to ya!
I hear so many claims from people of your pov that I find amazing. ONLY Schiavo, Felos Greer and Cranford are telling the truth. All the doctor affadavits, nurse affadavits, Terri's friends and family are ALL lying. Even their attorneys and THEIR familys are lying. But Schiavo isn't. Unreal.
