A mentally disabled woman whose court ordered starvation-execution began Friday attempted to contradict her estranged husband's claim that she wants to die hours before her feeding tube was disconnected, an eyewitness is claiming.
Barbara Weller, an attorney for Terri Schiavo's parents, told reporters Friday afternoon that during her visit earlier in the day she told Ms. Schiavo:
"Terri, if you would just say, 'I want to live,' - all of this will be over."
According to pro-life activist Randall Terry, who recounted the scene to radio host Sean Hannity, Schiavo tried desperately to repeat Weller's words.
"'I waaaaannt . . .' Schiavo allegedly said, in a prolonged yell that had police stationed nearby running into her hospice room.
"She just started yelling, 'I waaaannt, I waaaannt,'" Terry said, according to Weller's account.
At that point police ejected Weller, he said.
Very interesting site. Thanks for the link.
If I had three such injection needles, I could relieve Terri of her misery. But none of them would be on her.
Terri's husband has been deliberately making his wife miserable, and is using her "misery" as an excuse to kill her. If she had an honest guardian, she wouldn't have any "misery" to be put out of.
And....why does MS want her cremated immediately upon death?
Terri survived six days the last time she was starved. She isn't meant to die this way.
"If I understand correctly, police are Officers of the Court. Sounds like they are witnesses, however the question may be which under which jurisdiction. If the same as Judge Greer, then subpoenas may be a 10th Amendment issue. I hope not."
It looks like they are all cut from the same cloth. I think only pro-death people are DELIBERATELY hired.
I fail to see how you arrive at that conclusion.
Lie numero uno. One thing is for certain.."all of this" will definitely not be over.
Lawyers.
Gee. Many of them sit in front of cameras, their arms in slings, some wearing skull cap bandages, smiling for the folks back hom at press conferences in Germany telling reporters they can't wait to get back to Iraq.
I am now thinking about going independent for the first time in my life.I am also thinking this board is no longer a discussion forum. It is a persecution forum full of wackos. I don't like what I see.
G'nite............................................
While searching for info on Cranford, I came across this, still digesting it .
"Most patients in PVS continue to breathe on their own, circulate blood normally, have periods of waking and sleeping, may move their limbs, smile, shed tears and respond to external stimuli. Some may grunt, groan or scream."
" These statistics show that a significant number of people recover from PVS within a year after injury. However, the chances of recovery are much lower after longer periods in PVS. Therefore, the MSTF concluded that PVS should be considered permanent 12 months after a traumatic injury, or three months after a nontraumatic injury. However, a few cases of dramatic recovery after extended periods are well documented. One patient recovered after three years in PVS, to the point of being alert and well-oriented."

I'm none too happy about Delay either. I predicted this day would happen as it did, three weeks ago.
Well it's irrelevant anyway because Terri clearly does not have PVS, like many killed in this manner before her.
Don't leave FR just because some holy rollers get out of shape and start arguing from emotion rather than logic. There are so many threads that mimic these: abortion, creation vs. evolution, homosexual marriage. The mods will take care of those that swear, spit and insult repeatedly on end.
If you're so keen on logic, what legitimate basis is there for Judge Greer's order that no attempt be made to feed Terri by mouth?
They are using this to push a culture war that could split this party. Probably will.
Maybe it needs splittin.....
Get it done and out of the way before we go up against the Hildebeast.
Exactly right.

Terri Schiavo Can Still be Rehabilitated, Nobel Prize-Nominated Doctor Says
Life Site News ^ | March 7, 2005 | Steven Ertelt
Clearwater, FL (LifeNews.com) -- Despite the contention of Terri Schiavo's estranged husband Michael and courts that have allowed him to starve her to death, a doctor nominated for the Nobel Prize says he believes medical therapies are still available that could help Terri partly recover from her disabled state.
Dr. William Hammesfahr is an internationally recognized expert on cases of brain-injured patients. He has been identified in helping patients with chronic brain injuries from many causes actually leave long term disability, and return to work.
Terri Schiavo's injury, hypoxic encephalopathy, is a type of stroke that he treats every day with success.
"We, and others I know, have treated many patients worse than Terri and have seen them regain independence and dignity," Hammesfahr said.
"There are many approaches that would help Terri Schiavo," Dr. Hammesfahr explained. "I know, because I had the opportunity to personally examine her, her medical records, and her X-rays."
"It is time to help Terri, instead of just warehousing her," he added. "She would have benefited from treatment years ago, but it is not too late to start now."
Some of us care about protecting the helpless and innocent. There is no specific political agenda behind it.
Yes, I can tell how "compassionate" and "caring" you are by your own words.
