WASHINGTON, March 18 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) today delivered the following remarks at a press availability on the House of Representatives' efforts to save the life of Terri Schiavo:
"It is now one o'clock on the East Coast, the time preordained by a Florida state judge to allow for denial of food and water to Terri Schiavo. This act of barbarism can be, and must be, prevented. The Senate has before it the Protection of Incapacitated Persons Act of 2005. This bill is the right thing to do. Unfortunately, they have chosen to adjourn rather than pass it.
"Those senators responsible for blocking the bill yesterday afternoon, Senators Boxer, Wyden, and Levin, have put Mrs. Schiavo's life at risk to prove a point - an unprecedented profile in cowardice. The American people are not interested in squabbles between Republicans and Democrats, or between the House and Senate. They care, and we care, about saving Terri Schiavo's life. The House bill will do that.
"Terri Schiavo is alive. She is not 'barely alive.' She is not 'being kept alive.' She is as alive as you or I, and as such we have a moral obligation to protect and defend her from the fate premeditated by the Florida courts. This is not over. We are still working, so are Mrs. Schiavo's lawyers, and so is the Florida state legislature. This is not over.
"To friends, family, and millions of people praying around the world this Palm Sunday weekend: do not be afraid. Terri Schiavo will not be forsaken."

I always call her "the female boxer". It kind of defines her.
Boxer is a died-in-the-wool, Socialistic, bedeviled, irrational, evil hag.
She has no morals, is a long term pro-death flag waver, and is hell-bent (like Greer, M. Shiavo, and Felos) on making sure Terri dies. She (as well as Wyden and Levin) knows exactly what she/they is/are doing when it comes to deliberately starving Terri to death.
Wild animals are not treated this inhumanely.
Liberal compassion? NOT. It's a lie, because "liberal" is too conservative of a term to describe these cretins who disragard life.
There is no way this is a "right to die" case...it's a "right to live" case.

When people were being locked up for 'feeble-mindedness,' wasn't this expansion used by civil rights groups and eventually the federal government to get forced sugical sterilizations stopped? The logic was, "this medical treatment was non-reversible."
Kind of interesting that HINO MS can have his wife starved to death (reversible?) but not surgically sterilized.
The law has its perversion of priorities.
I am shocked Judge Greer is still on the bench, in a murder spree that won't end with Terri.

Well... look at it this way. Whatever the outcome -- Terri lives or
Terri dies -- Greer is affected with a convenient excuse which is a
well kept secret: Greer is legally blind and can't even read the documents filed in his court !!! ;-))

People like Boxer and company are against life, and as result of their vicious circle of politics the ones who seem to suffer the most are the innocent. Whether it is their relentless support for abortion and now euthanasia... or sending back innocent children like Elian Gonzalez to live under the dictatorship of a murderering tyrant --if nothing else they are consistent.
