Savage spoke last night about his own severely handicapped brother who could not even speak or leave his bed.
The brother lived to about the age of 6.
Savage was a couple of years older, and he said last night that he would have gone to the kitchen and gotten a knife to kill anyone who tried to hurt his brother.
Savage said his brother "couldn't speak, yet he spoke to me every time I was with him. He spoke with his eyes."
He communicated in spite of everything.

Mort's argument made little sense - "she will never recover from this and be a whole person". as many others have posted on these threads, why didn't they just stop feeding Christopher Reeves after the horse accident? he was clearly never going to recover and be a "whole person" after that accident.
I'll have to catch the repeat later tonight.
As far as the Democrats and the left are concerned, there are serious political issues involved here that trump Terri's right to live. Consider this: During Hillary's attempted run up to socialized health care, one of her top lieutenants discussed on a radio talk show BOTH the idea that some decisions about right to life would have to be made my the government AND that the estate tax laws would have to be modified to allow the government to fund Hillary's barbaric scheme. Think about that: The two fundamental parts of Hillary's health care were to 1) kill the old and infirm and 2) take their money. And these concepts were clear and being preached to the public long before the rest of the details were in place. So, in Terri Schiavo, the left has a test case that would allow them to move their ghoulish agenda forward. The only words than can describe this are "evil" and "abomination."
I think something will come from Congress on this.
With Delay and Weldon and Frist so strong about this today, I've got a lot of hope still.
Just think, with that agenda, you can slowly move the goalposts of life, first 80 is the automatic cutoff, then say, 75, then 70.......
Mort is a celebrity admirer. That's why he is close to Micahel J. Fox and probably admired the late Christopher Reeve as well. Were Terri a "real" celebrity, he would be defending her too.
I want to know who gives him or anyone the right to determine when a person's life ceases to hold meaning. Unless elevated to the status of the Divine that is not a right they hold. Mort didn't create her. He didn't form her soul. neither did Greer. Most certainly that ...husband of hers didn't.
This is, no, it isn't unbelievable but it SHOULD be.
This is really very simple. You are on the side of life. Or the side of death. It is sick how many have chosen death not only for themselves but an innocent woman.
Food and water are basic necessities. But if I admitted to a lib I didn't water my plant they'd have me before a court.

I don't know. It will take more then that: somewhere, someplace, someone in the executive branch will have to be willing to defy a judges order in some case, somewhere, and fight it out to the end.
