I agree that we must do everything in our power to use legal avenues to save her. But, after all legal avenues are gone, what then? How could you say that we would be no better than the Nazi's if we charged in there to save her?Did the Allies go through the legal system to save the victims in the concentration camps?

Oh, and, lucky day for them, this case is a two-fer for them. Not only interrupt parental 'rights' or preference, but also 'champion' (said with a gag) euthanasia, 'right to die' cases. Curious how so many people push 'right to die' for people unable to speak for themselves with no clear written record of requesting, indisputably, that 'right'.

People do change their minds. Even people who write living wills, might change their mind or might find themselves in slightly different circumstances than they imagined at the time they wrote their living wills. I hope their spouses and doctors listen to them.

Nope. A single person hears someone talk, there's a darn good chance she did. Just because others didn't hear it means nothing, right? I'm quick to believe someone is alive and conclude not to bury them.

It's almost beyond imagining that we are witnessing this. So how is this supposed to work? They pull the tube, turn off the lights and shut the door, then come back 10 days later to collect the body? I mean, seriously, how is this supposed to play out? Do they expect the hospital staff to "comfort" her while they watch her body shrivel and eyes sink from lack of fluids? How nice.... "Don't worry, Terri, I'll hold your hand while your major organs shut down one by one... oh excuse me for a moment, dear, I'm just going to the vending machine for a diet Coke..."

They starved a down's syndrome baby to death some years ago - because the parents didn't want a disabled child. Pretty much the same thing.

Well it's just that Michael (who by some accounts was abusive) heard her say 'she wants to die.'
The judge won't allow cameras in her room. The Schindlers did sneak a camera in, that's where the videos came from. However when the judge found out about the video, the Schindlers wern't allowed to visit Terri for a long time.
If we exhaust all legal action within the system and a raid or whatever happens to save her life, we must be prepared to deal with the consequences.
To that end, Greer's defiance of Congress has now set a precident. The laws of the land are now not worth the ink and paper they are written with. Congress has no recourse at this point but to drop the hammer on Greer. If they don't, they have no right nor justification for penning new laws nor calling for enforcement of existing laws.
I do not want to see Terri being treated the way she is. I also do not think violence is the answer. I pray that a peaceful resolution can be reached that includes saving her life.
If the line of violent defiance is crossed in this matter, we will not be able to ever go back.
