I agree 100% Like I said, the way this is being fought, sets a dangerous precedent for the future, and basically gives the gay lobby an argument to legalize gay marriage. The gay rights lobby has been using the civil rights act, there is no question they'll use this as an example to get what they've been wanting. For the Terri supporters to get what they want, they're engaging in the same sort of behavior the Liberals have been engaged in since George W. Bush won the election in 2000.

The state of California just sent Scott Peterson to death row for the same crime. It is a shame that the Bay Area, the most leftist part of California, provides more justice than a red state like Florida.

The case of Terri Schiavo raises complex issues. Yet in instances like this one, where there are serious questions and substantial doubts, our society, our laws, and our courts should have a presumption in favor of life. Those who live at the mercy of others deserve our special care and concern. It should be our goal as a nation to build a culture of life, where all Americans are valued, welcomed, and protected - and that culture of life must extend to individuals with disabilities.

Laura Ingraham: Terri has taught us all a lot. So many have rallied, having conversations about our humanity.
Rick Santorum: We've been working very very hard to allow a federal court to review this. FL court saying she is under death sentence with tube removal.
RS: the convicted have a right to have their cases reviewed.
Terri's only crime was not having a living will.
Her rights have to be protected. We have a judge who is intent on ending her life.
Laura: are you surprised by the amount of outcry? I'm very heartened.
RS: I'm very heartened as well. Harkin and others went to other dems who were holding out. They finally found some way to do this.
Levin and Widen objected to bill, but allowed bill to pass even though they objected.
Some callers say why intervene?
RS: when the govt decides to take someone's life, there should be a check in the system to review it.
Did she have adequate counsel? Were her rights protected?
Frist talked to the doctors, reviewed the tapes, said this is someone who IS NOT BRAIN DEAD.

I know and you are right. It's just these people putting the whole thing on President Bush and what he SHOULD do and Jeb Bush and what HE should do and calling them cowards and the like. That is not constructive. I know in my heart and soul if President Bush and Jeb Bush could do something legally they would and no doubt they are. It always comes down to someone blaming the Bush Brothers instead of trying to do something constructive like praying and never giving up.
