My guess. Too many suspects (Bonnie Lee's) mail-order boyfriends.
Someone might have already answered this Robert Blake wasn't Spanky. I can't think of his real first name but his last name was McFarland.

Why, a few years ago, I correctly scolded some famous "black leader" on here and received a freepmail invitation to join some sort of Nazi/KKK organization! I guess he didn't know I was Jewish.
Seriously, I do not think Hildy condones murder. Just that people kind of feel sorry for Blake, who was set up and trapped by this woman in so many ways. If anyone is going to escape jail for a crime like this, it should be him.

If you handle a gun that has been fired, you will get gun powder residue on your hands. But if you fire a gun, the amount, the pattern of the residue and several other factors are distinctive. Even a "clean" gun may have gunpowder residue on it.

He was found not guilty ~ that proves justice was done.

Are you 100% sure? I had read somewhere from a place that escapes me that they had found the weapon, they had recovered the filed off serial number and that it belonged to Blake and was reported stolen.
Now for it to be a lie, I would have to have deliberately planted wrong information and if I'm wrong I'll admit it. LEt me see if I can find the source.

They are explaining on KFI right now. Just because someone thinks he PROBABLY was involved does not = beyond any reasonable doubt.
