We need to start drilling off the coast of Martha's Vinyard.

THAT's the kind of offshore drilling Ted Kennedy can get into !!(to paraphrase a great quote about Teddy)

Hey democrats, burning oil in the Holiest of Holies, animal sacrifice for sins, earthquakes and other natural disasters, yes God is an environmentalist wacko indeed.

Why "off the coast"? I'd say, right IN it, and then top it with strip mining the place.

Then put a Super Walmart there so the workers have a place to shop. Also, put up a private school so the kids can learn.

So God's gonna say "Hey that abortion thing was cool, but, what's up with drilling in ANWAR?" right.....

Apparently God isn't big enough to handle the planet by himself anymore, so the Democrats are helping him out.

Well, FWIW, I'm all for the idea of being good stewards of the gift God gave us. So I'm not going to give the guy a hard time for buying a hybrid. We drive fuel efficient cars, happily recycle, do our best not to generate more trash than we need to, that sort of thing. There's no reason why resources shouldn't be utilized with the same kind of mindset :)

Heck, Hillary's hair on a bad hair day ought to be good for a barrel or two of oil...

"When we finally meet our Maker, we are not going to be asked our position on evolution or the Big Bang. We are going to be asked about what we did to protect the resources we were given"...LOL!!! HAHAHAHA!!! The most hilarious quote I've heard in a long time.

Markey is IMO the worst Rep from Massachusetts.

Good grief he clearly has no understanding of Genesis, and yet he seems to be quoting from something that alludes to it.

What does "Dominion" mean?

I gave you billions of barrels of oil in the most desolate area of the planet

Speaking of desolate places...

Mr Markey I agree with you completely. Unfortunately, the separation of church and state absolutely prohibits me from even considering what God might think of my vote. Therefore, I have no choice but to vote in favor of drilling.

Desolate? Pshaww! I saw on a Kerry-approved Mainstream news source that the ANWR was especially "environmentally rich".

Hmm, I think He's going to not give a crap where we drilled but how many babies we butchered and how many gays we allow to get married, how we lived our lives, etc., etc. ANWR will NOT be on his highest list of priorities. Dimwits.

And after we drill in ANWR we need to start some serious mining of coal in the Grand Staircase Escalante in Utah that Clintoon turned into a park, erect about 100 nuclear power plants and put up a couple thousand windmills off of Martha's Vineyard
