Getting past the odd innuendo of Massachusetts Democrat Ed Markeys press release accusing the GOP of trying to ram ANWR into law through backdoor maneuvers, we find his opposition comes straight from above:
The American people believe there should be some places on this earth left the way the Almighty made them in the first place. When we finally meet our Maker, we are not going to be asked our position on evolution or the Big Bang. We are going to be asked about what we did to protect the resources we were given. The Congress still has time to pull back from this folly, and we must do everything we can to see that it does.
Meanwhile, the attempt to strike ANWR from budget legislation failed today, 49-51.
Like I have said before...
DemoSTUPIDs. Standing logic, reason, and reality on it's head. Since 1933.
This is just a start. We need to start drilling off the coast of Martha's Vinyard.
Why are Dems allowed to "speak for God?"
Exqueeze me?! Isn't this the same party that's constantly frothing at the mouth about the separation of church and state?
By a straight up vote? When I hear a phrase like "backdoor maneuvers" I think more of something like...oh I don't know...filibustering judicial appointments!
Didn't God tell us to be good steward of creation? Didn't he expect us to develop what we were given? Does anyone remember the displeasure of the master in the parable when the servant gave him back the exact same amount he'd been given?
If we do not develop God's gifts, it's like a giant Return to Sender!
Funny how they're "getting religion" on an as-needed basis.
Gee, I thought God would ask Democrats why the valued snow more than the unborn?
The democrats are fiercely opposed to wind power off of Cape Cod. It will spoil the Kennedys and Kerrys view from their mega-mansions (at least when the Kennedys are sober).
They are not "quoting God." They are making suppositions about what God might ask when they finally meet Him. That's just CLASSIC. Apparently, the demonrats are so close to divine intelligence that they KNOW the mind of God... they know what He will ask on judgement day.
The word "megalomania" comes to mind.
Are "ram" and "backdoor" really considered odd innuendos in Massachussetts?
Yeah, well why don't you apply that montra to The Constitution?
THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE.
The democrats will do and say anything to keep the Bush administration (or any republican administration), from having any successes. Bringing down the cost of gas would be a big plus for Bush and the nation.
I'm sorry - but the Bible is clear - YOU WILL BE ASK - WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE TALENTS I GAVE YOU ..??
These NON-BELIEVERS think they can throw out statements about GOD and we'll grovel and side with them. The problem is - THEY NEVER GET IT CORRECT - and as usual they're counting on our being too STUPID to know the correct information.
DNC Mottos:
OK to quote Almighty on ANWR, Not OK to quote Almighty on Abortion.
Save the Caribou, kill the babies.
And some advice for the Dems: Render unto Caesar, you flaming secularists. Dragging the Almighty into this just makes you look even more hypocritical. And it's probably not winning you any points with The Big Guy, either.
Did it ever occur to him that God might say "I gave you billions of barrels of oil in the most desolate area of the planet so you wouldn't hurt good fertile earth and yet it took you years of buying it from those who defile my name and existence with a false religion before you recognized what I gave you.
(God slaps his forehead and just shakes his head)
I'M GET'N EXCITED HEEERE
They better get a good answer ready for that "abortion" question, then!
