Summers should just tell them they are free to quit if they don't like him.

When are they planning to send him to a Commie reeducation camp? After all, at its root, isn't all of the controversy over the fact that he was thinking, speaking, and acting too independently for the likes of the card-carrying Marxist faculty members?

I'd rather be ruled by the first hundred names in the Cambridge phone book than by the faculty of Harvard University.

Free speech for the vile comments from Ward Churchill, whose opinions fit the liberal mantra. Censure for Summers for comments that violate the Marxist dictates of the academic totalitarian ideology.

Heaven forbid any of us should think, or speak the truth, that's just wrong <sarcasm!

Summers spoke the TRUTH that's why he's being censored.

Do you remember David Lee Roth, Diamond Dave from Van Halen?

He's filling in this week on a local classic rock station here in Boston and funny we should be talking about truth....this morning Dave was discussing how truth is being shunned by the left etc. etc. etc. he also went off on Jon Bon Jovi, Springstein, etc. for their opinions of Iraq, asked how Bon Jovi would like his wife wearing a burka etc. Ole Dave is a republican through and through and what's more interesting about this is that the radio station he is speaking from is a huge liberal station, they mocked Bush throughout the elections, Dave is actually letting people call in and will discuss whatever they want to talk about and he actually lets repubs speak!

This is an old article dated February 22, 2005. Last night Fox News reported that the faculty did passs a no confidence vote against Summers and he had to have a police escort out of the meeting. Score one for "academic freedom," as "living constitutiion" liberal legal "scholars" would interpret it.

I wish Larry Summers would tell them: "I have a first amendment right to say whatever I wish. If you don't like it, you can kiss my a$$."

That's what I thought, since the report doesn't make sense -- they did vote no confidence.

I'm reminded of Obi Wan Kenobi upon confronting Darth Vadar in Star Wars, "You can't possibly win Darth. Strike me down now and I shall grow more powerful than you can possibly imagine."

We're Obi Wan. Even if the Left manages to get Summers fired all it will do further highlight how out of touch ivory tower elite is with middle America. It is creating new Republican voters.

OMG you're right it is an old article, sorry, I saw the confidence vote and thought it was last nite's news! Fact remains the TRUTH is always being stifled by the left.
