I have just recently began to follow this sad story. Many folks are vehemently against the removal of Terri's feeding tubes and I can see their position.

I can also see Michael Schiavo position as well. He does not seem to have any motives other than following what he believes were his wifes wishes.

What a truly unfortunate situation for Terri, her family and Michael.

I wonder if a compromise couln not be reached where Michael allowed for a chance of rehabilition for a set amount of time to see if Terri might actually be able to recover some degree of quality of life. I do not mean just learning how to swallow food either.
