Mar. 15, 2005 - Michael Schiavo won a series of lengthy court battles for the right to take his severely-disabled wife Terri off life support, but now faces a new challenge from Florida lawmakers who are seeking to pass a bill that would stop him from doing so.
DIRECT LIE, QUOTED AND APPARENTLY UNRESEARCHED BY THE URINALISTS at abc. He did not battle to take her off any life support because she is not even on life support.
Terri Schiavo collapsed in 1990 and suffered severe brain damage. She has been kept alive by a feeding tube ever since and has been unable to speak or care for herself.
A SECOND DIRECT LIE. She IS ALIVE. She has to DRINK her food through a STRAW. She has an 'inlet' that a tube is hooked up to, just as some people have a tube going out of their body into a bag. She is not 'kept alive' by the tube, any more than you or I are kept alive by the kitchen faucet.
shortly after Michael got the $2 million dollars, he's started with filing petitions to get her starved to death.
Didn't they say they had Terri's dad on?
But my objection is that they had Michael on just before Congress votes on Terri's Federal Law. Michael complained about what Congress might do. Poor Mickey. (sarcasm)
Did you ever reach the attorney? I tried, but I didn't see your message until they were closed.
sadly, those are better questions, because Michael Schaivo would never allow others to do to him what he's done to Terri.
What I believe does not really have any bearing on the situation.
The problem is no one knows.
I don't want to see Terri starved to death.
I would rather she be allowed to go home with her parents.
FELOS is completely and unabashedly insane.
And there's no money left. It was spent on attorneys with Judge Greers permission.
That certainly doesn't paint him in a good light.
What did he get $2 million dollars for? A failed murder attempt or did some jury conclude that her condition is the result of something other than him trying to kill her?
It doesn't seem likely the he or Terri would recieve a settlement if it could be proven that her condition is a result of him trying to kill her.
But psuedo judge Greer believes what Michael says as "clear and convincing" (even though Michael Schaivo testified, before he got $2 million, that he'd "take care of Terri for the rest of HIS life." But Greer won't pay attention to that "little" detail, nor does he "believe" what Terri's friend says or what the nurses said, all contradictions to what Michael says.
I read it again, but skimmed it this time.

Now that sounds better.
Michael Schaivo, during the civil litigation where he claimed that it was doctors' faults that Terri "collapsed", he got the $2 million. He bought a Mercedes with part of it shortly after getting the check. According to affidavits, he was planning on taking trips to Europe. He's bought an upscale house, too. I suppose these are all part of his "guardian" expenses.
The problem is that Michael won't allow Terri ANY kind of rehabilitation. It might be that he does not want her to talk and tell what happened the night of her collapse. She had broken bones comparable to someone in an auto accident, and she never had an auto accident.
She really needs to get out of Michael's clutches so she does get treatment and therapy.
Michael has been cruel to her. He won't allow her teeth to be brushed (she lost some teeth), won't allow her to go outside for some fresh air, won't allow religious pictures in her room, won't allow her blinds to be open, etc.
"What bank was that, who controlled the funds?"
"It was the bank of SHUTUPPAYOUFACEORDIE." An old 'family' bank.
Sounds like careful wording to me. What does virtual mean? What does "not gain one penny" as a result of Terri's death mean? Does it mean he already gained the money becuase it is joint property ? I smell lawyer talk.
So what medical condition did she have that would make that claim even remotely viable?
Must have been a pretty convincing claim if he was awarded $2 million.
More like Michael Schaivo was convincing in that he swore he would take care of Terri if he only had the money, that's why, he said, he wanted to go to school to become a nurse. The jury was taken in by his lies, not realizing what a monster he is.
Allowing her teeth to be brushed or to go outside do not seem like decisions that he would be asked to make. This is all very odd.
He claims that she had a potassium imbalance....that's why she collapsed.
Funny, though, Terri had a rigid neck observed at the ER the night of her collapse. Dr. Hammesfahr said that it could only have been caused by strangulation.
A year later, in therapy, Terri voiced, in some manner, that she was in pain. An orthopedic doctor then had x-rays taken of her and discovered she had broken bones all over her body.
The radiologist wrote it looks like "someone worked her over real good." Michael hid those reports for 10 years from Terri's parents.
Felos is obsessed with death.
There was an article recently posted that went into great detail about his fixation, with excerpts from his own writings.
