Well, too bad someone didn't read that to him BEFORE he went and shot up that courthouse.
Apparently there will be a press coference now with Ashley Smith- NOW- live..
what an astonishing story.
"I said, 'You know, your miracle could be that you need to -- you need to be caught for this,'" Smith continued. "'You need to go to prison and you need to share the Word of God with them, with all the prisoners there.'"
Wow. Guts. But I hope that she's right.
bump to the top

Well GOOD for her- she said- ok- I've told my story- now please let me have some peace and quiet- leave me alone. (paraphrasing)
This woman obviously lives her faith. And I have no doubt Rick is very humbled to know his book was used this way.
At least one person has been helped by that book. It sure has caused a mess in some churches.

I haven't read the book yet but I plan to. I cannot fathom how this book would cause a mess, unless things were less than what they should have been to start with. If the churches stuck with the Bible, they have less chance to stray. With that said I enjoy reading religious books but I base my faith on only One.
AMEN BRO.
I have not read it yet.
I am giong to now.
This lady not only talks the talk. She walks the walk. What a brave Christian lady she is.
Her faith saved her from being raped and murdered (I am assuming she was not raped, but have not heard it ruled out yet).
Well, after you read this one, read the preceding one, "The Purpose Driven Church" where Rick Warren uses out-of-context scripture quotes to achieve his method of tearing a church apart by driving everyone over 50 out. He advocates removing "Traditional music" in favor of whatever is popular according to polling results. Sounds like Bill Clinton's leadership to me. Rick Warren has made millions, but his method of "growing a church" in Southern California is far different that growing a church elsewhere. Read his works carefully, and take them with a huge block of salt.
How so?
Not true. I attended Saddleback for several years and that is simply not the case.
Read the entire 33rd chapter tonight....She definitely put into practice what was explained in the book...Was willing to let God use her to serve the unworthy. Have no doubt that she's alive today because she chose to be strong and express her faith.
Not only should she get the reward, but movie/book offers, speaking engagments should make it possible for her to be a stay at home mom to raise her daughter.

It is ... but when people are so lost they often don't know who to turn to and who they can trust. This guy knew he was done. He had nothing to lose and may have gained more than most people in those few hours. Allot of folks, not in jail, who haven't murdered people never find what I hope he found. If he gets the death sentence, he won't have to fear death now. Sounds like he made peace with God through this woman.
