OK, folks. The Ashley Smith story is remarkable. However, too many of you are hung up on her

I agree...this whole story, BECAUSE the VICTIMS are forgotten as SO MUCH TRASH, leaves me cold. Everyone KNOWS his and her NAME, they are constantly on TV, she is worshiped, he is HUMANIZED, and no one can NAME one of the victims.

Tell us who the victims are, we have a judge, two deputies, the court reporter, the reporter beat up for his car. A few people have spent a lot of airtime talking about them, but we also have an unlikely and interesting hero in the story. Why do you resent her for her very interesting chapter in this huge event?

You gave their occupations, not their names.

What is the murderer's name and the woman who brought him to her house?

I asked that other poster to tell us about them. If they have a story that needs aired, maybe he could tell it, instead of just complaining about the story Ashley has.

I am a lady...I agree with you, and boy have they let me know on this board!!! :)

But, you know what? I still find parts of the story a little bit questionable.

I know, I am just awful!

i.e.: She followed him in the truck he stole from the murdered off duty custons agent in her car and then didn't flee when she was in her own car, by herself? No way, Jose. I say she is an accessory after the fact for that alone!

Have you ever been abducted? I have and I believe Ashley's story.

This woman may have had an incredible testimony to give, but at the right time.

I'm so relieved that God doesn't rely on you to tell Him when to do His work.

What a petty and condescending thing to say. You took my remarks totally out of context.

I just posted my thoughts, as have a few others on here who are getting slammed. It's a shame that people have to resort to cattiness just because they don't agree with you.

My instinct is that the woman should have escaped and called the authorities when she had the chance, PERIOD. Since she didn't, that tells me she was concerned with the murdere's welfare on some level. That is repugnant to me. My 21 year old cousin was brutally raped and murdered a few years ago, so I find it difficult to think such vermin can be redeemed. I do not think that makes me less of a Christian than others.

By meeting up with the killer again did not ensure the safety of herself or others. She took a chance, and it paid off. We can thank God for that.

Again, I found it interesting that she hit the talk radio/TV circuit right after her ordeal, when I would have thought she would have been with her daughter every precious moment. JMO.

...and now, six months later....we know that she shared some crystal meth with him. How special is that.

You have good instincts.
