This article just underscores what we have been saying for months and months on these threads...

You cannot put ANY guest worker bill in effect which will lead to large quantities of foreign workers coming into this country without FIRST...

Having the requisite border security, employer enforcement logistics and penalties, and a secure biometric type of ID which will be required of all guest workers to be in this country legally.

Merely putting a guest worker bill in place doesn't address these issues. Even if the legislation requires that these systems be implemented...it will take time to develop all the infrastructure and logistics to do an adequate job of implementing them. Right now, I don't see that kind of emphasis being demonstrated...using enforcement of our existing laws as a model.

What will happen if we keep things as they are...with the large influx of people...scum like the MS13 members will also have ready access, both legally and illegally, using phony black market IDs and SSNs just as those guys in NC were using to be able to work on airplanes (another job Americans don't want BTW). With large numbers entering the country, it will be much easier to 'hide in plain site' from authorities.

Open question - rhetorical, of course - for the group.

What is it about crossing the border illegally that makes it less offensive than assaulting citizens...when the two go hand in hand?

More importantly, why can't our constant harping on the subject make an impression on the Congress and Administration?

MS-13 which is notorious for smuggling illegal aliens, drugs, and weapons into the U.S., operates a large smuggling center in Matamoros, Mexico. From this center, they smuggle gang members from Central and South America into the U.S. over the Mexican border. It is becoming increasingly apparent that this gang has already began helping Muslim terrorists enter this country.

MS-13 also engages in the typical gang crimes such as robberies, rapes, killings, carjackings, etc. The Latin American gang earned an extremely violent reputation in Los Angeles during the 1980's. They now operate in at least 14 states and the District of Columbia.

Looks like MS-13 has a 'underground railroad' straight from the U.S./Mexico border to D.C. for terrorists to use.

I've been meaning to run a search on MS-13 and haven't gotten around to doing it yet, so let me point out our keyword database, which has rather extensive information about this new threat:

KEYWORDS: ALIENS; GANGS; ILLEGALIMMIGRATION; IMMIGRATION; MARASALVATRUCHA; MS13; TERRORISM; Click to Add Keyword

I have a good idea. Since there is proof that MS-13 is helping to smuggle terroristes into the US across the Mexican border, it's time to declare MS-13 a terrorist organization and put them on the axis of evil list also.
Case closed!

Excellent. However, its going to take more of a sweep to get these thugs out of our parks and malls. The graffitti is getting bad here in NOVA.

I think that would imply putting Mexico on that terrorism list too, and I suspect that Bush is too cosey with Fox to ever do that.

Seems to me somebody else did some searching and linking, and I can't remember now who it was...

Kelly or B4 perhaps, or maybe someone else entirely. I think the list was posted on an MS-13 thread two weeks ago, or so...now I'm going to have to go looking!

Al Qaeda seeks tie to local gangs

http://washingtontimes.com/national/20040928-123346-3928r.htm

A top al Qaeda lieutenant has met with leaders of a violent Salvadoran criminal gang with roots in Mexico and the United States — including a stronghold in the Washington area — in an effort by the terrorist network to seek help infiltrating the U.S.-Mexico border, law enforcement authorities said.

The Salvadoran gang, known to law enforcement authorities as MS-13 because many members identify themselves with tattoos of the number 13, is thought to have established a major smuggling center in Matamoros, Mexico, just south of Brownsville, Texas, from where it has arranged to bring illegal aliens from countries other than Mexico into the United States.

100 down and 10,000 to go! At least, it is a start.

Yes, it's a start.

I'd like to see them roll up another thousand this week.

And I won't grace this board with my ideas on what we should do with them, after due process, of course.

Agree and would make it even simpler. . .'if you terrorize more than one person - you have just qualified yourself as a 'terrorist'.

This would apply to the man who terrorized Atlanta this past weekend. . .and killed more than one person on his terror journey as well.

The arrests came in the New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Newark, Miami and Dallas metropolitan areas over the last several weeks.

MS-13 ping -- damn it, they skipped Charlotte! My understanding is they're one of our bigger gangs.

I'll bet half of these gang bangers can't even be deported. Because they are the American born anchor babies of illegal alien Salvadorans and Salvadorans who scammed their way in here on the infamous and endless "temporary asylums" of the 1980s.
