Blacks were enslaved in Africa - by other blacks.
Those that made it to America were freed - by whites.
Who owes whom?

Curious, aren't these the same groups that insist they are the direct descendents of Egyptian rulers? And if so, they owe the Jews reparations and a few centuries of interest(By their own thinking). So, I vote the Jews get together and sue these idiots for a few Trillion/Quadrillion?

actually, we should send these clowns a check....they keep the issue alive, then someone asks a Dem elected official what they think of it..(Elijah Cummings, anyone?) and it gives the GOP a few more seats..

Since the introduction of the U.S. Department of Education, our education system is a dismal failure. 14th Amendment, Section 4, prohibits reparations.
FReep Sign:
REPARATIONS?
UNCONSTITUTIONAL!
The United States of America Constitution,
14th Amendment, don't blame me for your ignorance.

The question of reparations came up in the 1890's. At that time the members of the G.A.R - Grand Army of the Republic. told the former slaves that they had gotten all they would from them. The G.A.R. was talking to actual former slaves.
I have run the numbers. Starting with April 1861 and going to April 1865, the Union Army lost 77 combat dead a day, every day. The Union states were 20 million people at the time. If the same ratio of soliders died in Viet Nam, the Wall would have about 1 million 50 thousand names on it.
America has paid its debt in the blood of those brave men.
Case closed.
