The critics have always liked to have it both ways. They offer nothing particularly new here in this NYT story except that now it's an Iraqi official saying what was said previously by someone at the UN some time back. Next week they'll have quotes from John Kerry saying this to show the NYT is objective.
Yeah, but they like to lie about things they know are classified and can't be known by the public - right up till the stuff is declassified. If memory serves, Kerry was specifically caught in that trap during the election..

That's not the point of this article. This is al Ka Ka redux. The argument being made is that, while we were conducting combat operations, we should also have devoted large numbers of troops to securing every sensitive site in Iraq. Because we didn't, the argument goes, dangerous stuff got to bad guys and it's Bush's fault.
Note the source, it's the UN. If they had info that Sadaam moved his WMD before the war, they would be sitting on it as highly classified.
