Scientology, The Clearwater Bar Association and Judge Greer

Scientology, The Clearwater Bar Association, and Judge Greer

Judge George W. Greer presides over Florida's Sixth Judicial Circuit Court. He is known internationally for the Terri Schindler Schiavo guardianship case. Pat Anderson, former attorney for the Schindlers, characterized Judge Greer's unprecedented rulings as "The Rule of Terri's Case."

The Clearwater Bar Association is delighted with Judge Greer's performance in this particular case. They presented the John U. Bird award to the Pinellas-Pasco Circuit judge on May 15, 2004. This prestigious award, which is the Clearwater bar's highest honor for a judge, was granted to Judge Greer for the way he has handled himself while overseeing the Terri Schiavo case!

Robert Dickinson III, the outgoing president of the Clearwater Bar Association, cited Judge Greer's handling of the Terri Schiavo case in terms of "passing the test":

"Rarely is a person's mettle and faith tested in such a strenuous and public way as this gentleman's has been over the last few years," Robert Dickinson III said. "Rarely do mortals pass the test with such flying colors."

(Quote source: Lawyers laud judge in Schiavo case) [bold emphasis added]

I find these words rather ominous when I reflect on "the test" Judge Greer has been passing—all these years. Judge Greer's consistent practice of upholding Scientology doctrines over and above Florida law is being lauded by the Clearwater Bar Association! The "test" Robert Dickenson III is alluding to is the "test case." The euthanasia test case.

Greer is "passing the test" with flying colors because he is permitting Michael Schiavo to abuse, exploit and neglect his disabled wife in defiance of the Florida statues. And the Clearwater Bar Association cheers.

Scientology attorney Wally Pope—who represented his "church" in the Lisa McPherson case—was the individual selected to bestow this high honor on Judge Greer! Wally cited high ideals, personal character, and judicial competence:

"Yet, in the teeth of all that, he has steadfastly demonstrated exactly what the John U. Bird award was created to honor: high ideals, personal character, judicial competence and service," lawyer Wally Pope said before bestowing the honor.

(Quote source: Lawyers laud judge in Schiavo case) [bold emphasis added]

The "judicial competence" that Judge Greer has exhibited in his handling of the Terri Schiavo case is clearly the kind that ignores evidence and even Florida statutes in order to uphold Scientology doctrine—which requires the deletion of "social contagions" (the disabled) from society. It is no coincidence that a Scientology attorney—who was a lead attorney in the Lisa McPherson case—personally bestowed this award to Judge Greer. Greer's decisions to consistently rule in favor of terminating a disabled person do reflect high ideals—in the sight of Scientology.

Lies to Make Terri Schiavo Fit the Scientology Mold

One of Scientology's major goals is to change society's views about death, dying, and those L. Ron Hubbard considered to be "past the half-way point": the disabled.

Scientologists believe (1) that a disabled person is in such a state due to his or her own failings, (2) the disabled person will deliberately move in the direction of death, and (3) disabled people (Individuals who score low on the emotional tone scale) will also bring death to those around them. (See L. Ron Hubbard's book, Self Analysis, chapter 4)

Scientology teaches that if a person is disabled it is his or her fault. Terri has been falsely represented as being disabled due to self-induced vomiting which supposedly caused a potassium imbalance that resulted in a cardiac arrest. Medical records have disproved these claims, but these "facts" were presented in the court record and are still being promulgated via the media today. The truth is that Terri suffered serious injuries, (including a head and neck injury and numerous broken bones). An exceptionally competent neurologist testified (that Michael Schiavo's attorneys predictably attempted to discredit) stated that Terri's injuries are consistent with strangulation:

Dr. William Hammesfahr, Nobel prize nominee and neurologist, testified that Terri's neck injuries are consistent with only one type of injury: that of strangulation.

(Quote source: State-Funded Agency to Probe Claim of Spousal Abuse in Terri Schiavo Case)

The only person in the apartment with Terri at the time of her collapse was her husband, Michael Schiavo.

Scientology teaches that a disabled person will move in the direction of death. Terri has been illegally denied therapy for over ten years for the purpose of causing her abilities and health to deteriorate. She has also been placed in hospice facilities—and denied any stimulation— rather than in a nursing home. This was done to create the illusion that Terri is moving in the direction of death. According to L. Ron Hubbard's doctrines, a disabled person wants to die. Michael Schiavo never misses an opportunity to state that death is "Terri's wish." This is not true. Terri wants to live so much that she exerts tremendous effort to demonstrate her abilities.

Scientology teaches that disabled persons (Individuals who score low on the tone scale) will also bring death to those around them. Michael is so worried that Terri will bring "death" to him (accusations of attempted murder?) that he refuses to allow her to have speech therapy—or any therapy. Of course Michael's power to keep Terri in a state of disability is contingent upon Judge Greer's continued collusion with the Scientology agenda, which is not in accordance with Florida laws.

The Clearwater Bar Association: Cozy with Scientology

Mike Faehner, who was president-elect of the Clearwater Bar Association in 2001, endorsed the Johnson Blakely Pope Bokor Ruppel & Burns PA. firm:

"In the legal community, they have a good reputation," said Mike Faehner, president-elect of the Clearwater Bar Association. "They do quite a bit of legal educational outreach. They're a solid law firm."

(Quote source: Clearwater firm breaks from standing tradition)

This firm brings in a lot of money by litigating for the "Church" of Scientology:

Their clients include parents involved in a baby swap, a woman who was not allowed to dress after she was arrested for skinny-dipping, the controversial Church of Scientology and developers who have changed the landscape of Clearwater.

(Quote source: Clearwater firm breaks from standing tradition) [bold emphasis added]

It is probable that Scientology attorneys are on the board and/or are officers of the Clearwater Bar Association! Mike Faehner said:

Many Johnson Blakely lawyers have been board members or officers in the association. The firm also sponsors bar activities, he said.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the Clearwater Bar Association is on cozy terms with the "Church" of Scientology. They choose to have their monthly meetings at the Fort Harrison Hotel—Scientology headquarters. (See: Res Ipsa Loquitur) The Clearwater bar gladly endorses firms that litigate for Scientology. They even chose a Scientology attorney to present an award to Judge Greer for "passing the test" in the way he handled the Terri Schiavo case.

Scientology For Euthanasia; Florida Law Against it

Wally Pope represented the "Church" of Scientology in the wrongful death suit filed by the Estate of Lisa McPherson. He fought to enable Scientology to completely get away with dehydrating Lisa McPherson to death. They did not succeed. They settled with the Lisa McPherson Trust!

Judge Greer's rulings have enabled Michael Schiavo (working on behalf of the Scientology agenda) to almost get away with dehydrating Terri Schiavo to death. The only reason this did not happen is because many Americans—once they saw the videos of Terri that Mr. Schindler bravely released to the media—made it known they would not stand for such evil in our society.

It is time to take a stand against this barbarism once again. Disabled citizens of the United States of America (including Terri Schindler Schiavo of Clearwater, Florida) must not be denied therapy and even life itself due to L. Ron Hubbard's disgust over the fact that a decent society takes care of its own:

Society, the bulk of which is bent upon survival, fails or refuses to recognize death or the urge of organisms toward it. Society passes laws against murder and suicide. Society provides hospitals. Society carries such people [the disabled] on its back. And society will not hear of euthanasia or "mercy killing." (Self Analysis by L. Ron Hubbard; pg. 28)

May the Lord Jesus Christ be glorified as his people "hear his voice" concerning this matter and follow him.

And here's more for your hyperbole accusation next time around. Also from the same link.

"Professor David Morton, head of the bioethics department at Birmingham University, recently told the Edinburgh International Science Festival that PVS patients, rather than animals, should be used in medical experimentation. According to Morton, PVS patients would provide "much more accurate information for experiments than chimpanzees."

My favorite is Princeton's Peter Singer, here's a google:

But it is his theories on the value of human life that have drawn emotional fire, not only abroad but also in this country where he has earned the ominous label of "Professor Death," and has been called "a bigot" against people with disabilities.

Most controversial of his teachings is the suggestion that parents should have the right to kill infants up to 28 days old who have severe disabilities because at that age, he suggests, children don't understand what it means to be alive. Those with serious health and physical concerns may ultimately be burdens on society, and the goal, he asserts, is to eliminate suffering in the world.

"Killing a defective infant is not morally equivalent to killing a person," wrote Mr. Singer, who will fill an endowed professorship at the university's Center for Human Values.

Words like that have drawn the rage of those in the disabled and pro-life communities. They fear a prominent university like Princeton giving credence to his thinking is akin to acceptance of his views.

Disagreeing with Mr. Singer's views are such groups as Princeton Students Against Infanticide, the New Jersey Right to Life organization, and Not Dead Yet, which lobbies for the rights of the disabled. They staged two large and angry protests on campus this spring, their rallies attracting many disabled persons. Some in wheelchairs clutched signs that read, "My Life Is Worth Living."

"This is getting close to Hitler's policies," observed New Jersey police officer John Scaturro, who attended an April 17 protest at Princeton with his wife and child and was interviewed by the National Catholic Register. "He did the same thing in Nazi Germany to the deformed and disabled with the support of academics."

Omg, I'm so sorry but we howled with laughter! I was reading some of L. Ron's diary entries to my bf, and came across something talking to him that he called Raon. I remarked that he actually named the voices in his head, and wasn't that special. Well, it was funny when I said it....we laughed for 30 minutes.

To be fair, I checked out the official link. Thank you for providing the links. I had no idea what was behind Dianetics, but I think I'll pass on buying it.

Coleus, thank you for the revealing links you provided in your #118 message. Following one of your links I came up with the following:

Scientology's foolproof method of judge tampering
[September 30, 1998]

I recently spent about 20 hours interviewing a Scientology defector named Jesse Prince about his experiences in the leadership of Scientology. He was second in command of all Scientology's operations worldwide. In these conversations we talked about many of Scientology's covert criminal activities decreed by Scientology's top executives and law firms. One area of particular interest was how Scientology secretly tampers with judges and doesn't get caught.

I have already submitted to the FBI the names of certain judges who were tampered with, along with other information from my interviews with Jesse Prince , but I am somewhat conflicted about making this information public. On one hand, Scientology's judge-tampering tactics are so effective and ingenious that once they are public I believe other ruthless organizations will soon begin using them. On the other hand, to conceal these tactics would corrupt critical ongoing litigation involving Scientology around the world. Notwithstanding this conflict, I will continue.

To understand Scientology's methods of judge tampering, one must be aware of the `sacred scripture' behind Scientology's notorious intimidation tactics. It is called The Art of War by Sun Tzu. This text, written in China more than 2,400 years ago regarding the planning of military operations, has been adopted by Scientology as a training manual for its staff. Scientology requires its intelligence division to know the text inside and out.

The Art of War describes tactics of knowing one's adversary, especially knowing his or her connections and vulnerabilities. According to my conversations with Jesse Prince along with knowledge I have acquired elsewhere, here is how Scientology uses Art of War tactics to tamper with judges and get away with it.

Step 1: Collect information necessary to blackmail the judge
According to Jesse, EVERY judge that sits on a Scientology case is the target of two types of data collection by Scientology's private investigators and attorneys. One is `overt data collection,' or `ODC'; the other is `covert data collection,' or `CDC'.

In overt data collection, every source of legally-obtainable information on the judge is tapped, and a complete profile on the judge is assembled including legal rulings, legal documents, personal and professional connections, and life history. With little concern of the cost, the judge is researched in utmost detail: what the judge likes and dislikes, where the judge eats, drinks, and plays. The judge's past and present friends, acquaintances, and colleagues are interviewed for `friendly' or "near invisible" information gathering.

While or after over data collection is being done, covert data collection is done as well. This process involves the illegal acquisition of documentation on the judge, including tax returns, phone records, bank records, medical records, credit card records, and any other private records. Again, cost seems to be no concern. These records are minutely reviewed for anything that could be as a source of leverage over or embarrassment for the judge. They are looking for information to signal the judge that someone knows enough about his or her life to cause ruin.

In addition to compiling the above records, covert data collection can also include confrontational interviews (as opposed to the `friendly' interviews during overt data collection) with the judge's past and present connections. Investigators now delve much more deeply into the judge's personal habits, indiscretions, embarrassments, and/or family problems. Anyone holding a grudge against the judge is particularly courted for damaging information as well as referrals to others with ill will for the judge.

The type of information investigators seek includes anything and everything that could prove damaging or embarrassing for the judge, such as: credit charges for pornography or sex services, illegal money handling or financial problems, conflicts of interest within judicial duties, connections to unsavory characters, and family, marital, mental, or medical problems.

Step 2: Reveal damaging information to the judge without putting Scientology at risk for tampering
This step is the real genius of Scientology's foolproof method of judge tampering. Here, they hire new people to go to the judge's personal and professional connections. Through seemingly innocuous conversations, in seemingly safe settings, Scientology's messengers speak to the judge's former law partners, former clerks, friends, ex-wives, girlfriends, golf buddies, bartenders, etc.

In these meetings, two important messages are to be conveyed by Scientology's hired messengers to the person affiliated with the judge. One, the judge's connection is given some subtle but disturbing piece of secret information regarding the judge's private life. And two, during another part of the conversation, Scientology is mentioned. The Scientology messenger either makes favorable comments about Scientology, or mentions "by the way" that they heard the judge was handling a Scientology case and the judge should go easy on Scientology because Scientology is such a good religious group.

The reaction on the part of the judge's connection to the disturbing revelation and subtle promotion of Scientology is predictable. The connection gets in touch with the judge and inquires about the rumor. The judge likely wants to know who delivered the information and may or may not discover that Scientology came up in the discussion.

What makes this a truly powerful tactic for leveraging the judge is that rather than coming in one sudden single impact, it comes through a number of impacts, accumulating and compounding the distress caused to the judge. The judge will not hear potentially damaging information from only one acquaintance, but rather from many, interspersed over time, each relaying a different alarming personal secret. After a number of these calls, the judge begins to confirm fears that someone can expose vulnerable spots. Sooner or later the judge also discovers that a favorable discussion of Scientology is always associated with each of the disclosures to the judge's connections.

A clever aspect of this subtle leveraging tactic is that Scientology cannot be connected to it. No one from Scientology is delivering the messages to the judge. It is the judge's own connections who are duped into delivering Scientology's messages, via their personal and legitimate concern for the judge's well-being.

The judge is stymied too. Obviously, there is no basis for turning in the friends and former associates to the authorities. Although as a group they in effect have delivered a veiled threat to the judge, they acted of their own volition and out of friendship or professional concern for the judge, they had no idea they were working on behalf of Scientology, and no single person delivered a message of intimidation complete enough to be a clear and obvious effort to tamper with the judge. The individual messages have presented a threat so subtle, the judge can't bring it to the attention of the authorities without seeming foolish or paranoid.

Therein lies the brilliance of Scientology's judge-tampering procedures. Only through the accumulation of partial messages do all pieces of the puzzle spell the clear threat: `Go easy on Scientology or every secret of your life will be exposed.' The threat looms, and yet it isn't connected to Scientology. The judge can't do anything about it.

Part 3: Entrapment
If the above tactics do not seem to alter the judge's rulings so that they are more favorable to Scientology's interests, the next step to take is covert entrapment operations. By this point, Scientology has accumulated all the information needed to set up the judge in a `sting' operation. One of their favorites is the sex sting. Scientology once spent over $260,000 to set up a judge on a yacht in Florida with two prostitutes. For more information on Scientology entrapping judges, go to www.factnet.org/ Scientology/ adversa.htm (Scroll down to sections on judges).

Recently there have been some rulings so bizarre by judges in Scientology cases that even the Wall Street Journal wrote an editorial on how odd they seem (see www.marcab.com/ whyte.txt). Maybe there is more going on behind the scenes than we know. Hopefully judges currently sitting on Scientology cases around the world will read this, notify their clerks, and find some way not to let their judicial integrity be compromised by this ruthless cult.
