Our 20 year old daughter needs prayers.
She is severely mentally and physically disabled and had to be rushed into the hospital this morning with pneumonia/respiratory distress. Her name is Stephanie.
She was originally diagnosed with thanatophoric dysplasia dwarfism (like Baby Hudson, although her diagnosis was revised later).
She had some symptoms of congestion last Friday, and we started giving her albuterol treatments and oxygen, which is what the Doctor usually has us do when she starts showing signs of congestion.
By last Monday, she was not able to keep her oxygen saturation up to 90% even with FIVE litres of oxygen and we had to have her taken to the Emergency Room via ambulance. (Her Doctors want ther levels at 92% or higher.) The hospital admitted her, but sent her home last Wednesday. As her mother, I just knew she was going home too soon.
Today, her oxygen saturation dipped down to FIFTY PERCENT---i.e. WAY TOO LOW!!!
We went back by ambulance and she is now in the ICU. They are giving her oxygen and a continuous albuterol breathing treatment. I think they said they gave her a shot of some steroid while she was in the ER. My husband told me about an hour ago that they had had her on as much as FIFTEEN litres of oxygen while in the ER to get her sats up.
I've got to get back to the hospital, but I wanted to get home to start a FReeper prayer chain for her. It may be a while before I can get messages unless I can get to a computer and internet.
BTW, the hospital asked me if we had an Advanced Directive for her to DNR. As I did many years ago, I told them they ABSOLUTELY DID NOT HAVE SUCH ORDERS!!!...and that they needed to get in there and help her! The Doctor also asked if I would consent to having her intubated and put on a respirator if necessary and I said "ABSOLUTELY!---I am PRO-LIFE!!!

Father God in Heaven, I pray for Stephanie and her parents that they might see your mighty work in the healing of their daughter. I plead the blood of Jesus on her condition and that this emergency be use to show your glory. Father you said in Your word that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, We are your children and you love us as much as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In the name of our forefathers, in the name of our Savior, We bind every demon, every work of the evil one and we loose health, peace and life abundant. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
