Yeah, this was no "running out the door, shooting behind you as go" deal.

He could have just taken the gun and ran.

Seems he needed the taste of blood.

I'm not a court reporter but my clients are all court reporters (I'm a proofreader)...it's making me almost physically ill thinking about the poor court reporter being killed in that way, since so many of my clients work in courtrooms. I feel terrible for everyone, but it really personalizes it for me, imagining one of my longtime friends/clients in that situation.
