Fulton Co. Judge shot and killed in courthouse shooting (BREAKING Fri 9A)

This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

Let's hope so. The first one has less info than this thread.

[NEW INFORMATION]:"They are still looking for him. They found one of his get-a-way vehicles, supposedly. Seems to be a great deal of confusion on the part of those directing the search. I'll check back in later. Been at work for five hours and haven't actually done anything yet."(..something like that)

My first post too hard to understand. FoxNews reporting 4 police cars suddenly took off at high speed westbound on 285, possible new lead?

No. The .40 S&W is what they switched to because the wussies couldn't handle the 10MM. The .40 is the same diameter round, but in a case about the same length as a 9mm. No where near the ballistics of its big brother.
Yer talking a .40 with a 180gr at 900fps vs a 10mm 200gr at 1200 fps. No comparisson what so ever.

NONE of the defendants are brought into the court room anymore shackled becasue of the PC fear that it will prejudice the jury.
I had to go to local Alpharetta traffic court for "crossing the gore" (the road-not AL!)
While I was waiting for my case to be called four young people, 2 guys and 2 girls, were brought into court decked out in prison stripes and shackled.
If they can shackle people in traffic court in Alpharetta why can't they shackle a violent rapist in Atlanta?

Yes, there were shots fired outside the parking deck across the street from the courthouse. My wife was walking from the deck to the courthouse when it happened.

The judge that heard my child support adjustment was a criminal judge. I knew in the smaller circuits the same judge would do both criminal and civil, but I thought (apparently incorrectly) that the judges in Atlanta divided up the work. Since it has been reported on this thread that the judge was hearing a civil case at the time, it appears that Judge Barnes did both civil and criminal trials.

"...we don't even know that it was the female whose gun was taken!"I think you misinterpreted my remark, WP. I was referring to the damage caused generally by affirmative action hires and offered the example of the female firefighter. I could just as well have offered an example of a black affirmative action hire or any other "identity group" hire. The point is that tossing the merit system out the window, along with the lack of adequate screening, training, review and oversight, is what leads to outrages like the one we've just seen in Atlanta. With "affirmative action" hiring policies, it's predictable as the sunrise.
Hope this clears things up.
