Fulton Co. Judge shot and killed in courthouse shooting (BREAKING Fri 9A)
WAGA-TV/WSB-TV Atlanta

This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

Unless the goblin took an extra magazine, the most rounds He probably had in the gun was 17. So He might well be out of rounds by now.
There are lots of armed citizens in Atlanta/Fulton County. Maybe He will run into one of those folks, who will end the problem for everyone.

WSB-TV: Three people transported to Grady; the clerk was shot at close range, won't confirm condition. Plus the two deputies, again, no condition released.

My understanding (and from my experience in a murder trial as a juror) is that the perp's restraints are taken off just before entering the courtroom....wouldn't want to prejudge his criminality, I suppose, is the reason.
To: Howlin
I heard that he took the gun off of a Court Security Guard?
Court TV is STILL on the Michael Jackson case. Idiots.

I was wondering about that. He could have plenty left then. It sounds like he only fired 5 or so shots in the courthouse, and probably only had to threaten to do the carjackings . . .hope they catch him fast before somebody else gets hurt or killed.

IMHO, the only unseemly display on TV is seeing a reporter from CNN.

Supposedly five shots fired, per eye witness.
Doesn't that mean he'll be out of ammo after another shot?
I think I did read he had fired at one of the carjack victims.
If so, no more ammunition...is that correct?

"Don't they get brought into the courtroom in restraints anymore?"
No, only those who are brought before the judges like the anti-abortion crowd, or Christians etc..you get my drift!
To: Carolinamom
Thanks for that info. I wasn't sure at what point they took the handcuffs off.
