Police have entered a Lufthansa plane at Brussels airport, 13 hours after a group of Iranian monachists began a hunger strike and sit-in. The flight arrived on Thursday from Frankfurt, but 59 unarmed European citizens of Iranian origin refused to disembark at Brussels.
They are demanding to speak to a member of the European Parliament.
The plane has now been moved away from the terminal, but it is not clear if the protest is over.

shows that Iranian monarchists are demanding diplomats from EU, Russia, US sign a form promising not to help the Islamic regime in Tehran.
No tiny unopenable package of peanuts for you!
In this case the peanuts can be used to hold off any attempts to make them eat, they just can't lick their fingers after.

I wish President Bush would dispatch a special envoy to that plane immediately. It would be a very symbolic gesture.
People who love Mona? (I know, the typo is in the original article).
I am curious, are these Shah supporters? They're gonna starve, 'cause the Shah has been taking the big dirt nap for quite a few years.
Thanks.
Usually, they are supporters who want to see the Shah's son take over. But they could be people who want the gov't to return to a monarchy, with no specific person in mind.
Bad and misspelled summary of earlier article. Sorry. The current article left out all the more salient details of the situation.
This is what they are chanting: "We are the messengers of peace. We are against global terrorism. We will remove the malignant terrorist regime of the Mullahs."
Actually, his son and heir is very much alive, and is very active on behalf of freedom for the country he is exiled from.
Here's a direct quote, and I guess you are right. They're gonna starve: "Zand-Bonazzi said the protesters include constitutional monarchists, some of whom support the late shah."
From an AP article posted earlier.......
"Christina Zia, who said her father called her on his cell phone from the plane, said they were supporters of the late shah and wanted to draw attention to Iran's problems.
"There are no weapons. This is nothing dangerous. They only want the world to see the problems, to see that Iran is not what the world sees today," said Zia, who spoke to The Associated Press by telephone from Germany.
The group had a letter for NATO (news - web sites) and refused to leave the plane until they are allowed to hand it over to the alliance, Zia said, adding that she did not know its contents."
"I wish President Bush would dispatch a special envoy to that plane immediately. It would be a very symbolic gesture."
Sure would, if the Belgians allowed it.
