Politics has always been divisive, splitting families and turning friend against friend.
This week, though, a Tampa woman learned that simple Bush-Cheney bumper sticker can bring trouble, if not danger, from a total stranger.
Police say Michelle Fernandez, 35, was chased for miles Tuesday by an irate 31-year-old Tampa man who cursed at her as he held up an anti-Bush sign and tried to run her off the road.
His sign, about the size of a business letter, read:
Never Forget Bush's Illegal Oil War Murdered Thousands in Iraq.
---------------
She pleaded with the dispatcher for help and tried to get away by running through stop signs and changing directions.

Apparently this guy is still under the impression that the election is soon? *chuckles* I don't think there is any explanation other than hatred. Perhaps fear.

So, if you're going to be displaying conservative bumperstickers, make sure one of them suggests NRA or CCW support.

i took my dubya sticker off my car in july.
there were several minor incidents of people cutting me off.
the final straw was on a 4 lane freeway. the speed limit was 70. i was going 70 in the right lane and a semi-truck was passing me in the left lane.
a guy pulled up on my bumper in a dodge pickup. he went off onto the right shoulder, around me, probably at 80-85.
scared the hell out of me.
perhaps it wasn't the duyba sticker. perhaps he was in a hurry.
but i took the sticker off.

I just read the whole story. Not surprisingly, the Dem party mouthpiece alleged similar violence by Bush supporters. Fat chance. These whack jobs are always projecting like that.

So did she get his tag number and turn him in to the cops?
To: BladeLWS
Never mind that; did the cops catch him and jail him?

What a gutless, mewing little overgrown guttersnipe. I'd give an internal organ to have a non-entity like that try to run me off the road. I'd write the script so that he'd be a shoe-in for a Darwin Award. F*****g Leftist offal.

That's sad.
In Arizona, I still proudly display my sticker on my window, with a pointy finger angry John Kerry on it, that says:
"SPITBALLS- The Favored Weapon of Those With Neither."
I just might keep it on for the next election...just in case...

I don't think your bumper sticker was the problem. That sort of driving is common on I-15 after a NASCAR race.

i live in a college town with lots of anti-w stickers, and the democrats have not taken off their kerry-edwards stickers. the county went democrat, the state republican.

My truck displays a "W in 04" sticker, and NRA sticker, and the tailgate bears a magnetic sign that states: "Driver carries only $20 in AMMUNITION".
For some reason, I haven't had any confrontations with W-hating lefties. ;)

How true. In time of war when terrorists could stage a massive attack on our soil again, we can not permit these anti-American wackos to get near any political power or we are all dead.
