Update: The businessperson who, through attorney Gloria Allred, has offered Michael Schiavo a million dollars to walk away will be on Hannity & Colmes tonight, Thursday - March 10, 2005 at 9.00pm ET (GMT-5).
Although the actual headline reads "comatose woman," and since Terri Schiavo is not comatose, I've made the appropriate correction in the title of this post, nevertheless, the headline is interesting. But I doubt it will have much of an affect on Michael Schiavo since he can't spend the money in jail should Terri receive therapy and recover sufficiently to tell us how she sustained all of those broken bones. Until and unless he accepts the offer, it's a just another new whisper in the wind.
What does the cost of an ICU have to do with anything? Terri needs to be given food and water, have her diaper changed, and also hopefully be moved around a bit, have her teeth brushed (something Michael has refused), etc. I'm sure Ensure® and diapers aren't free, but they're not exactly million-dollar commodities either.
Thanks for the ping!
BTTT!
God Bless this man for trying! It will be interesting to see what happens.
Forget chess. These two are about as good at high stakes poker as the prez is.
Indeed. May God bless him for this effort!
Gloria Allred does indeed practice in the southern California/Los Angeles area.
Between himself, the judge and his lawyer, these people have too much invested in murdering Terri.
Not at all. I think he is afraid that her condition may improve and she'll be able to talk. Therefore, if he had a hand in creating her condition, he just might have a vested interest in making sure she dies and never has the chance of getting better. He's done well, so far.
I don't think it's realistic to expect her to "revive" and the fact that a one in a gazillion miracle happens once every eon is not really a reasonable expectation of every person in her condition.
Michael better take the money and run before certain bills get passed that will stop him from killing Terri.
