I started lurking here shortly after Freerepublic started, mainly because Freepublic.com was a great source for news the mainstream media would not cover.
I remember reading about how the Park Police could not find Vince Fosters keys at the location where his body was found. When the former bouncer and White House errand boy Craig Livingstone went to identify the body at the morgue, he reached in the dead Mr. Fosters pants pockets and retrieved a large set of keys that was missed by all the professionals. That, among other information left me with doubts about the conclusion Vince Foster committed suicide.
I saw a photo posted on FR of Ron Browns head. It looked like a bullet hole to me.
The same April 1996, Ron Brown died; William Colby fell out of his canoe and died.
The mainstream media reported William Colby called his wife shortly before he disappeared and told her he was going for a canoe ride. I found out on FR that his friend and business associate, James Davidson, stated Mr. Colby did not tell his wife he was going for a canoe ride. Why would someone make that up?
About two weeks later, Admiral Boorda shot himself in his chest, through his ribbons. The mainstream media said it was because he was wearing medals he did not earn. I found out on FR, the claim was bogus. Admiral Boorda participated in combat operations in Southeast Asia and was awarded two V devices for medals he received related to combat operations.
I learned on FR about Kathy Ferguson. She was married to Bill Clintons co-defendant in the Paula Jones civil suit at the time of the reported harassment. Later, Kathy divorced Danny and Kathy was dating Bill Shelton at the time of her death. Days after the suit was filed, Kathy shot herself in the head. Six weeks later, police officer Bill Shelton was found on top of her grave. He died of a gunshot to the head.
Barbara Wise worked in the office in the Commerce Department where the technology transfers to China were being considered. Friday after Thanksgiving in 1996 her naked badly bruised body was found in her office at the Commerce Department. She died of natural causes. I read about the police report describing the condition of her body on Freerepublic.
Less than two weeks after Lewinsky had her reported showdown with the President, Mary Mahoney, a former Clinton White House intern was shot several times in a Starbucks where she worked two miles from the White House. Her two co-workers were also shot to death. No money was taken, no one heard any shots. Unless you read the Washington Times or FR, it is unlikely you have ever heard of Mary Mahoney. The Lewinsky acquaintance and former intern was never mentioned in the national mainstream press.
According to Juanita Broaddrick, Bill Clinton raped her. I believed her.
I voted for our current President hoping for a legitimate investigation into the technology transfers to China and many of the other activities associated with Bill Clinton.
Later, it was explained to me it these potential high crimes would not be investigated because of political reasons.
I thought I understood the reason President Bush would not prosecute Bill Clinton for his many crimes. What I dont understand is why President Bush now embraces a man I once thought was a rapist, complicit in murder, and a man that sold weapons technology to communist China for campaign contributions.
Were we wrong about Bill Clinton?
Welcome to the wonderfull world of politics.
"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer"
Seems to be the rule of the day.
Bush is a politician. He uses people for various purposes and feels he can use X42 for tsunami relief efforts. Also, I don't think X42 really got into the Gore recount much. Bush probably appreciates that.
Slow news day?
Are you another one of these people that just can't STAND the successes of the Bush administration and are desperately trying to come up with something to bitch about?
41 and 43 are rehabilitating the reputation of 42 to protect the reputation of the presidency in general. Whether or not this is the right thing to do is open to debate. However, we know that both 41 and 43 think little of Clinton based on their prior statements. The ex-presidents' club has legitimacy only to the extent that people perceive the group in a positive light.
Not wrong about the bent one, no.
:}}}}
I've wondered the same thing myself.
There's plenty to bitch about even in the face of Bush's successes. When it comes to politics, there's always something...
The left has a similar list of transgressions by the Bush administration. Its all tinfoil to me. Left-foil, Right-foil, I wad it up and throw it away.
3,000 dead people on 9/11 say NO.
I would also have to add that the country changes after 911. Much more important things to do than fight old battles. The left has not learned this lesson.
Jimmy Carter was doing better with his Habitat for Humanity, but is currently FAILING at being a statesman or showing any class.
And I thought all of the Keepers Of Odd Knowledge were over on the DUmmy site!
Read my profile it might help clear up some of it. -Tom
