Were we wrong about Bill Clinton?
Mar 8,2005

I started lurking here shortly after Freerepublic started, mainly because Freepublic.com was a great source for news the mainstream media would not cover.

I remember reading about how the Park Police could not find Vince Foster’s keys at the location where his body was found. When the former bouncer and White House errand boy Craig Livingstone went to identify the body at the morgue, he reached in the dead Mr. Foster’s pants pockets and retrieved a large set of keys that was missed by all the professionals. That, among other information left me with doubts about the conclusion Vince Foster committed suicide.

I saw a photo posted on FR of Ron Brown’s head. It looked like a bullet hole to me.

The same April 1996, Ron Brown died; William Colby fell out of his canoe and died.

The mainstream media reported William Colby called his wife shortly before he disappeared and told her he was going for a canoe ride. I found out on FR that his friend and business associate, James Davidson, stated Mr. Colby did not tell his wife he was going for a canoe ride. Why would someone make that up?

About two weeks later, Admiral Boorda shot himself in his chest, through his ribbons. The mainstream media said it was because he was wearing medals he did not earn. I found out on FR, the claim was bogus. Admiral Boorda participated in combat operations in Southeast Asia and was awarded two “V” devices for medals he received related to combat operations.

I learned on FR about Kathy Ferguson. She was married to Bill Clinton’s co-defendant in the Paula Jones civil suit at the time of the reported harassment. Later, Kathy divorced Danny and Kathy was dating Bill Shelton at the time of her death. Days after the suit was filed, Kathy shot herself in the head. Six weeks later, police officer Bill Shelton was found on top of her grave. He died of a gunshot to the head.

Barbara Wise worked in the office in the Commerce Department where the technology transfers to China were being considered. Friday after Thanksgiving in 1996 her naked badly bruised body was found in her office at the Commerce Department. She died of natural causes. I read about the police report describing the condition of her body on Freerepublic.

Less than two weeks after Lewinsky had her reported showdown with the President, Mary Mahoney, a former Clinton White House intern was shot several times in a Starbucks where she worked two miles from the White House. Her two co-workers were also shot to death. No money was taken, no one heard any shots. Unless you read the Washington Times or FR, it is unlikely you have ever heard of Mary Mahoney. The Lewinsky acquaintance and former intern was never mentioned in the national mainstream press.

According to Juanita Broaddrick, Bill Clinton raped her. I believed her.

I voted for our current President hoping for a legitimate investigation into the technology transfers to China and many of the other activities associated with Bill Clinton.

Later, it was explained to me it these potential high crimes would not be investigated because of political reasons.

I thought I understood the reason President Bush would not prosecute Bill Clinton for his many crimes. What I don’t understand is why President Bush now embraces a man I once thought was a rapist, complicit in murder, and a man that sold weapons technology to communist China for campaign contributions.

Were we wrong about Bill Clinton?

Back in 1998 when I first starting reading at FreeRepublic, there was a poster using the handle: Trainee or something like that that had access to someone very high up in the Clinton administration. This person would post all kinds of devastating information of what was going on behind the scenes. This poster was all over FreeRepublic and his threads generated hundreds of posts. Suddenly in 2000, this poster all but disappeared completely from FreeRepublic. I've done google searches to view the cache files of FreeRepublic and nothing, its as if he/she was scrubbed from any reference. Does anyone know what happened and if this "poster" was proven to be a fraud? If he was, he sure had a lot of people convinced here of his credibility. If I remember correctly, this poster was convinced that Clinton would not leave office at the end of his term.

And full of "illuminati" who are working on the "new world order".

Is that the same "new world order" GHWB spoke of, or they building a separate one?

I agree about Clinton but, what do you call millions of illegals just walking across the border into our country every year? If Arab terrorists can get to Mexico they can get into America, isn't it as simple as that?

This thread isn't about illegal immigration. The subject has been soundly beaten to death in other threads. The 9/11 terrorists didn't enter the country via Mexico. Neither did the ones who bombed it the first time. Neither did the ones who bombed the USS Cole. Neither did the ones who bombed US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Etc...

While I am concerned about illegal immigration too, historically it doesn't have as much to do with terrorism as some would like it to.

Clinton had lots of opportunity and justification for decisive action against terrorism. He was offered Bin Laden on a silver platter. He declined. He is an accessory before the fact, IMO.

I agree with most of what you say. I think we wanted the guy out so bad we'd grasp at anything. The allegations against Clinton that were not investigated far exceeded the matters in the Starr look. It is the lack of closure that leaves us with the hunger. I guess we should look at the JFK asassination. Perhaps we could learn that it may not be possible to know all that we need or want to know or think important.

I agree that Bush has taken a pratical approach rather than cowered to the conspiracies. But I'd sure like to see the bad guys do time. : )

The CFR is real, but for those with their head firmly blocking defecation, it's nothing but a pinochle club.

Oh come on now. I don't currently hold a subscription to the CFR publication Foreign Affairs, but I've been reading it for years.

Referring to them as nothing more than a pinochle club is insulting to the CFR membership. They're extremely accomplished men and women doing serious work, both in and out of government.

I just wanted to back you up on CFR. I don't know enough about the membership, but the magazine (although pricey) is a wonderful read. The website is also nifty, and free.

Admiral Boorda participated in combat operations in Southeast Asia and was awarded two “V” devices for medals he received related to combat operations.

Wrong. Admiral Boorda was not authorized to wear the combat "V". It has to be specifically authorized in the medal commendation. Boorda's awards did not contain that authorization.

"Are you another one of these people that just can't STAND the successes of the Bush administration and are desperately trying to come up with something to bitch about?"

Hey Luis...how is asking fer Justice vis a vis the ClintonCorruption "bitch(ing)"?! Do you not agree that John Ashcroft FAILED MISERABLY in his job, seeing that his job was to rid the Federal Leviathan of Sleaze and Corruption, and he instead chose to IGNORE it?! We can only pray that Gonzales ain't as INCOMPETENT and/or CORRUPT as AG Ashcroft!!

Bush has done well in foreign policy and we're all very happy and proud about that, but Dubyuh's got a lot of unfinished bid'ness to attend to here in the States.

Years after Admiral Boorda was awarded his two "V" devices, the Navy Regulations for awards and decorartions were revised to include a specific wording in awards in order for the receipient to wear the "V" device.

Source? I received an NCM award with a combat "V" in 1968. The wording in the commendation specifically stated that I was authorized to wear a Combat "V". Boorda was awarded his medals at the same time I received mine. The bit about NR being revised years afterwards is pure BS.

Bush knows the score, he knows the players. And he knows smart men keep friends close and enemies closer.

Have you noticed how Clinton's not a problem anymore? He's been defanged, neutered, etc. and whatever.

It's not the Tar Baby, it's his wife that remains a very real threat to America's way of life. She may bump him off just to cover her own tracks.

The last thing anybody who attains the office of the presidency wants to do is paw thru the mud. They have an agenda of their own and expenditure of the resources necessary to the prosecution of a former president is too expensive.
