It's been so long since we watched Dan Rather or other MSM idiots that we wouldn't recognize them if they walked in the door. We are so grateful for Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, Hannity, etc. So very grateful. I know what you mean. Not only have I not watched Dan Rather since 1988, I haven't watched any of the major network news shows since Fox came to New Orleans about four or five years ago. And I think I have a lot of company in this.

"Ed Murrows ghost is here. Ive seen him and talked to him on the third floor of this building many times late at night." It doesn't appear that Dan is playing with a full deck. What a loser!

Do you consider Rather more or less biased than other journalists? More 62%. The only thing that is surprising is that this figure isn't 100%!

I can't remember if I sighed
When I read about his desperate try
But something touched me deep inside
The day Dan Rather lied
LOL! What a great find! Hilarious, and they've got a great photo of Gunga Dan up there too. I am really glad I missed that one, or I would really have thought I lost my mind. Maybe, MAYBE, Geraldo could've pulled that fashion faux pas off.
It's amazing, how the leftist elites in this country are so addled that they let really mentally unbalance people rise to such high positions.
Can you listen to their show online? PC Fridays looks hysterical!

Have a great time tonight. We'll be whoopin' it up in Phx too!
Here's a couple of songs to help you celebrate:
DANNY BOY
A conservatives tribute to Dan Rather
Upon his retirement, March 9, 2005
Oh, Danny Boy, the mikes, the mikes are silent
As one by one the lights are dimming down.
The time has come for you to leave the anchor desk,
Say your goodbyes, and take that final bow.
Chorus:
The news elite are showring you with accolades.
They try to keep from shedding tears of grief,
But there are millions far across the fruited plains
Who must admit were not so sad to see you leave.
Youve covered all the most important world events,
From hurricanes to fighting in Beruit,
But when you tried to trash our current president,
You went too far and meddled with the truth.
Chorus:
So as you slither off into the shadows,
Well raise this song, for we want you to know,
Weve had our fill of liberal lies and scandals;
Oh, Danny Boy, it brings such joy
To see------ you------- go!

BYE, BYE, RATHER
(Tune of Bye-Bye, Blackbird)
Rather, Rather, reading the news each day
Right outside of our doors
Rather, Rather, we are all here to say,
We cant take any more
All through the years you have hung around;
Now it appears you are homeward bound.
Rather, Rather, were gonna celebrate
Brighter days are in store!
Chorus:
So pack up all your microphones,
There you are, going home
Bye Bye, Rather!
After all your clever lies,
It should be no surprise,
Bye, Bye, Rather!
Did you really think you could deceive us?
Now it is the time for you to leave us.
Grab your things, theres the door,
Dont wanna see your face no more.
Rather, Bye Bye!
Rather, Rather, thought you were very smart
Breaking all of the rules
Rather, Rather, you knew down in your heart,
Youd be playing the fool,
Far to the left you went pandering
And now your you-know-whats in a sling
Rather, Rather, when will you ever learn
That we value the truth? (Chorus)
Rather, Rather, thought you were nearly there,
What a media god!
Rather, Rather, while you were unaware,
Bloggers started to blog.
While you were maintaining your innocence,
Your reputation got up and went.
Rather, Rather, you never had a prayer,
Now youre out of a job! (Chorus)

Wish I could be there. But I'll send my "not at all fond" wishes to Danny boy, where ever he is pouting.

Glad you posted this. I was there for the Jazz funeral and it was a blast!! We second lined with our umbrellas and our catchy signs to some wonderful music by a great brass band. Frozen daiquiris helped the party atmosphere. We had a wonderful time celebrating the fact that Dan Rather will not be a news anchor any more. We think that this is the beginning of the end for the liberal media.

Liberal bias in the media is not dead. Peter Jennings is still there. Dan Rather down Jennings next.

I never boycott anyone as I like to keep in touch with what the enemny is up to but I can go you one better on this one. My complete disgust and lack of respect for Rather's started when he covered the White House News Room during President Nixon's first term of office.. No matter who you are, what party you belong to or whatever else you may feel, it is never correct to be disrespectful to the office of president no matter what you may think of its holder. During one news conference Rather's would not even address President Nixon as Mr President. I would have had him removed on the spot if I had been in charge of that gathering. I was on active duty in the military at the time and this jerk had the nerve to disgrace all the country stands for and to do it at a news conference at the whitehouse! From that day on Rather's was a dirty name in my book.
