I saw one a few years back in Ohio that said "YRU WET".
I've also seen "SAME 2U".
"3M TA3" is likely to not get OKed.

The original plate for my car was generated by the DMV and not a vanity plate. When the dealership brought it out to me I gasped and refused it. They said I had to take it and could apply for a new one.
My random generated plate was FKR 469.
I immediately got a vanity plate to replace it.

I think the best dirty plates are those with #LLL## (L letter # number) because they look like non-vanity plates unless you think about them. Using numbers as letters helps to achieve this.
For instance: 4SSH013 (although the censors would catch that one, it's too obvious, and it's not nearly dirty enough)

Back about 1980, a guy had the plate, MUF DVR on his yellow Corvette, used to see it all the time in Simi Valley.

If the agency recalls a plate, the owner can ask for an administrative hearing. The DMV usually wins, but not always. A lady in the Bay Area once fought to keep her plate, which read "A PUSSY."My vanity plate says "TURGID".
I imagine my car would follow hers all over the place.

I read somewhere years ago that a couple had complementary vanity plates: The man's read "Tab A;" the women's read "Slot B."
