A Pie in the Face for Vogue Editor Anna Wintour As She Enters Chanel Show in Paris (from PETA)
Fashion Week Daily ^ | 3.5.05 | Camilla Morton

This morning as Anna Wintour was entering the Chanel show, minding her own business, she had a pie thrown in her face.

'That is for the little animals, fur hag..' cried the smartly dress blonde as she slapped the paper plate and pie into the Vogue Magazine editor's face.

Wintour looked visibly shaken, but her muscle--aka Andre Leon Talley---quickly enveloped her and protectively marched her backstage to clean up.

The blonde was not stopped, and neither was Anna; she was back in her seat at Chanel before most people had arrived.

Hillary Alexander went to talk to Anna and found her in good spirits, 'She said she didn't know what type of pie it was--maybe tofu, but she was sure it was great for her skin.'

Good question. I doubt that a PETA person would be dressed and groomed in such a way as to blend in with the crowd.

I bought glasses like that for fishing. I couldn't see to tie the knots without reading glasses and they fit right over top. My regular sunglasses broke and I wore them to drive home. I've never bought another pair after that. Sorta reminds me of DeNiro at the end of Casino when he has them huge glasses on.

The "Muscle" mentioned is really a fashion commentator. I believe that the use of the term was a poor attempt at sarcasm.

Having seen Mr. Tally on local programs and on 7th Avenue once, I think that he'd be better suited as a singer with the Village People than chasing down fools with whipped tofu.

While she's deceiving me
She cut thru security
She got to throw at me
A pie in my fa-a-ace...

Guys, you don't have to buy special sunglasses to fit over regular glasses. Usually any pair of sunglasses, especially those plastic/tortoise shell looking ones, will fit right over any other type.

I found this out by accident years ago while driving into the sunlight. My regular prescription sunglasees weren't doing the job, so I retrived some cheap, non-prescription glasses I had in the glovebox, hoping to hold them over my prescription glasses while I drove. Anyway, I found that they could easily be worn right over the prescription glasses, and I've been doing this, when necessary, for years now.

Of course I'm not in any fashion shows, and I'm sure Anna Wintour et al would accuse me of making a major fashion faux pas with piling glasses on top of each other in this manner.

That's because when you're cool, the sun is always shining...

I'm more fashionable than I thought.

Welcome to the club. They began as MD's handouts to patients following eye surgery.

Anna Wintour could use a couple of those steaks, judging from her figure lately..

I do it even easier, I just close my eyes when the sun is too bright.:)

Apparently, Anna hasn't paid her PETA "protection" fee. Hollyweird stars run around in real fur to their faux culture gigs all the time.

"PETA has done a lot of despicable things, but making me sympathize with Anna Wintour is going too damned far."

LOL! Great observation. :)

Oh. My. PETA.

Where to begin? Shall I tell you about the time they released hundreds of mink from a local mink farm to "save" them? Most ended up dead in the road; the remainders bred themselves silly and I now have feral mink killing my chickens about once a month, five years later. (I have a few pelts; don't tell on me!)

How about the time they released veal calves from their cages? Yep. Same thing...most wandered out into the road and were dead before dawn. The meat was useless, not to mention the damage they did to the cars that hit them.

We're used to hitting deer up here, but can you imagine the psychological damage to the drivers as they see a sweet-faced baby cow in their headlights?

Oh. My. PETA.

Me-Yow! What a Pretty Kitty. I could've done that twenty years ago. As it is, all I have now is my:

Memory

Midnight
Not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory?
She is smiling alone
In the lamplight
The withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan

Memory
All alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days
I was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again!
