Parents: 4th-Grade Girl To Become Boy Mom Says Youngster Has Male Brain

METHUEN, Mass. -- A fourth-grader who was attending a Methuen elementary school as a girl before February vacation has returned to school as a boy.

The parents of the 9-year-old child said the youngster was born with the body of a girl, but the brain of a boy.

They have asked that he be referred to and treated as a boy by teachers and other students, and school officials are accommodating the request. The parents have even changed the child's name.

The child's mother told The Eagle-Tribune that the family made the decision after consulting with medical professionals. She said the child is still biologically a girl.

The mother has requested that the family not be identified to protect the child.

School Superintendent C. Phillip Littlefield said there is nothing harmful about the child being in the school.

Pray tell--how do you determine what gender a child's brain is?

As a previous poster mentioned, male and female brains are different when viewed under various imaging systems such as MRI's. If a doctor knowledgeable in this area looked at this girl's brain, without knowing all this background, and concluded that it was the brain of a boy, I think that raises some questions.

Then please do a google search on "hypothalamus transsexual" to find all the medical research that has been done in that particular field. You may find it enlightening.

Certain leftist dingbats twits (Mass is rife with them) feel that their child is in some weird way disadvantaged by being born wealthy and healthy and therefore not disadvantaged.

They need to invent a mechanism by which their precious child can earn the ostracism and victimhood by which liberals rate the worthiness of the individual.

If they can't make their wealthy little white girl a poor black child, they can at least make her a very special freakish outcast.

And in the process, the parents shore up their liberal bona fides by being so accepting of the freak they purposely invented.

Exactly. I don't vote with my city, but Boston is my home, and I love it. It's a tasteful, beautiful, dignified, socially conservative city that respects culture and restraint; at least for a huge metropolis. I think some red state folks should visit sometime instead of casting barbs from afar based on what they think they know from presidential election returns

From a public morals point of view, it seems like most of New England exhibits greater public morals than most red states. I guess it's the whole Yankee puritan streak that most people still have, despite their unfortunate voting habits.
