President Bush had some strong words to Syria to get out of Lebanon, noted here.
He and Vice President Cheney welcomed and congratulated the World Series Cham-peens, the Boston Red Sox, who ended a drought of Biblical proportions with their first World Series win in 86 years. With Speaker Hastert and Senator Stevens, he presented the Congressional Gold Medal to Jackie Robinson's widow, Rachel Robinson, in the name of her husband.
In Arnold, Maryland, the president participated in a job training and education dialogue, linked here.
Secretary of State Condi Rice attended a one-day London meeting, info here, to discuss Iran's nuclear life, the Palestinians, etc. She put off a planned trip to Canada next month, a move seen as a rebuff over Canada's rebuff of the North American missile shield.
Senator Kerry positioned himself obscenely close to the president at Bush's remarks honoring Jackie Robinson.
Other than that crude interruption, enjoy today's visit to Sanity Island.
Wow, snugs. That makes that photo even HOTTER! Not sure I can take that this early in the morning.
Thanks for the pics, Gretchen. Who is the Red Sock in the second row to the left with the long hair?
That would be Johnny Damon...he hit a grand slam in the series!
Were you aware when you gave me this verse that it is my daughter's RIGHT HAND that is being operated on, Cyber??
Well, when I had her read this, SHE noticed, and smiled! God will BE her right hand for a while. :o)
God is good in SO many ways! He reveals Himself miraculously through His word.
Thank you, all! We're off......
You post the most wonderful collection of pictures - some of them, I've never seen before and it makes me wonder how you can get to them, and I've never seen them! What a GREAT collection of doggie pics! And one of them has the President holding a much younger Barney! (I love ol' Barn, in case you couldn't guess.)
Your pictures are such a welcome addition to the Dose, anonymoussierra.
We thank the soldiers of your Country and your President who has always supported our President, and our efforts in Iraq. Thank you and God bless them all.
Stay strong and true, Poland. Our brave ally in the world, and the War on Terror, wherever it is being fought.
Makes me want one but I read up on Scottie's and they require more grooming than I want to be involved with. While I loved my Mini-poodle, that breed requires a lot of grooming, too.
Over the weekend, I saw a Lhasa Apso, and she had the cutest face. Same for Westie's. I have yet to look up those breeds with respect to grooming, but one thing I already know. They are expensive to buy, because they are so popular. Sigh. I'll probably wind up with that typical American breed - - a mutt from the pound!
Howdy, DailyDosers...MUD
Sorry forgot it is compulsory to post industrial level air conditioning plant with this photo LOL.
This is wonderful - thank you for telling me that. I was aware of the right hand - but I hadn't put the two together. My goal was just to get you and your daughter speaking the same thing - IN FAITH - because faith works every time.
My translation says "my VICTORIOUS right hand". I think that's a New Revised Standard Version .. but I'm not sure.
Anyway - the surgery will be VICTORIOUS!!
Hi Mud. Hope you're having a good day.
Having a great day, JC...hope you are, too...MUD
