THat is a great story! A big Thank You goes out to him.

the listeners of WMAL in Washington DC contributed over $1 million. The original target was $250,000 but when they reached it, they just kept going.

Awesome news! My family stayed in the Fisher House when my mother was at the VA dying of cancer. We were so thankful for the ability to stay in a beautiful, clean place near where she was being treated that we asked all memorials be made to the Fisher House in her name.

The House was first rate. Thanks, Denzel. You'll never know how much it means to the families.

Didn't hear of the Dixie Chicks doing that, did we? I think I'm becoming a Denzel Washington fan!

It would be a great story - if it were true. But at least it's not total BS as many of these stories are. Denzel did go to the hospital and he did tour a Fihser House (which is a great charity that I found on searching the web since I have a son in Iraq). And he did inquire about making a donation. But he didn't pull out his checkbook and the last report from Fisher House was that he had not made a donation yet. He also does not have a son who is a Marine. On is 13 years old and the other plays college football.
