Great idea, Jim! I am so sick of these judges legislating from the bench. This issue is right up there under national security for me (closely followed by immigration). If the date is during the last week in June, I can be there! Hubby has an army reunion going on in VA, and I'll steal away and participate. Woo hoo, it would be my first Freep!

Can this thread

be linked to this thread?
I believe it reflects the same disgust with the lack of leadership in the Senate, the runaway court and how this country is becoming just one nation of many and not a unique nation in the history of the world.
1. Majority Leader: Santorum
2. Revoke automatic citizenship for babies born of non-citizen parents.
3. Force all institutions to comply with ALL immigration laws or lose funding.
With respect,
onc

Of course few would condone capital punishment on a 5-year-old.
How about a 17-year-old who announces murderous intent, breaks into a house, ties up the occupant, takes her to a bridge, and throws her off? This is exactly the case SCOTUS was asked to rule on - not a kindergardener.
The problem is the need for a line in capital cases - and the problem that the line as currently drawn, and upheld by SCOTUS under the premise of vague international opinion, is past an age where the "child" can vote, drive, and certainly knows the consequences of murderous behavior.

They pay more attention to INTERNATIONAL LAW than they do to the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA....Reason being that they have become agents of foreign 'isms'!

Please do keep me on this list! Thanks!
And YES, to answer the question: I would definitely love to be a part of a march on Washington!

Apples an oranges. Dan was addressing the march. I was addressing the decision.

Might I suggest a two pronged strategy..
Half of us march on Washington, the other half holds hands at the southwestern border and we do not allow a single person through. We of course get permission from the land owners as we should field about 4 million people for a three day weekend. Does anyone have a brother in law in the porta pottie business? Road trips!!!!
To: Jim Robinson
I wrote my conservative senator yesterday and gave him a clear indication that this is the line, the time is now, no more excuses and that we expect to see some leadership from the Republicans with regard to the judicial nominees and the courts in general. I have a feeling it is in their best interest to take note of the electorate at this point.

Half of us march on Washington, the other half holds hands at the southwestern border and we do not allow a single person through. May I suggest that this is about the Supreme Court not about immigration ? If you want to do this, why not start your own thread instead of spamming this one.
To: maxter
the time is now, no more excuses Maybe the time is 2007, after we eliminate another 5 democrat senators in Nov. of 06 and maybe the lack of 60 votes is an excuse.
To: staytrue
Then they will say only 66 votes is a mandate. That's take up arms day. I wonder if we will be forced to go door to door to weed out the blues? I pray it never comes to that. Thank God Im not in charge is all I have to say.
To: samadams2000
Count me in. I'll pass the word as far as I can. We need dates set and get Hannity and Rush on board! You get those 2 behind you, and the rest will fall in line!!
To: Jim Robinson; Congressman Billybob
Don't you just love how SCOTUS in last decision cited FOREIGN LAW? /s
How can this be constitutional? Can this be banned by congress?

The Supreme Court does not even have an E-mail address. They simply do not care what the public thinks and do not care what the Constitution or the founders said. All that matters to them is their absolute power.
There are a host of ways to deal with this but all require a backbone on the part of our elected officials or a massive turnout by the public.
Amend the Constitution to stop any reference on foreign law
break up the 9th district
Have Congress remove some social issues from Court review
Cut their funding
Simply ignore their decisions
Now, do you think our cowardly politicians will do any of these things?
Individuals can only do one thing, cut off the money for our politicians. they ignore letters, public opinion, and simple public opinion. They jump right up and pay attention when the reelection checks stop arriving.
