This one should be interesting to watch. The poll is on the right side of the page, and after you vote you can leave a comment. There will be some screechy lib. comments, so perhaps we can provide some balance.

I am a newbie, so bear with me. I have been following this site for sometime and find it informative, amusing, and enjoyable. I did my duty and freeped the poll with a No vote. I need help from other freepers to post comments to another site in my local area of central Missouri--a university town dominated by bliberals still smarting from the loss at the polls. Please consider posting at ksszfm.com and post to the message board on the left. Thanks for your consideration. I look forward to further communication.

Do you mind my asking why? What about Malvo? Under this ruling he cannot be executed for his actions.
To: cweese
Yep.... Try them, convict them and sentence them to death by a jury. Then the elite group steps in and says nope, can't put them to sleep so keep them incarcerated for 40 yrs and then make them elgible for parole.... Yep makes perfect sense to me........
State officials said the ruling will commute to life terms the death sentences of 28 convicts on death row, including one from Travis County, convicted yogurt shop killer Robert Springsteen IV. And it will effectively limit future convictions of teenage killers to a maximum life term, meaning they will be eligible for parole in 40 years.

That was one of the grisliest crimes I've ever read about. A friend of mine was the assistant AG at the time and provided me with some of the details of what was done to those 4 young angels. Made me very angry, and sick.

Whatever you think on the issue, it's treasonous for the SCOTUS to base their ruling on foreign precedence.
IMHO, that itself is a hanging offense.

Ping...depressed ping. Liberal child-rearing techniques undoubtedly have given rise to these juvenile animals, and are to blame for the fact that we have to even consider this question.
Just another example of Quinn's First Law.

In the words of Glenn Beck this morning, how can the Supreme Court determine that a 12 year old is mentally capable of having an abortion (killing a baby) without telling her parents, but then determine that a 17 year old is not mentally capable of taking responsibility for a premeditated murder?
